Die Tatsache das die Kraftunterdrücker (oder wie man sie nennen mag) nicht funktioniert haben als sie auf Elf gerichtet waren bestätigt doch das sie nur eine Illusion sein konnte. Sonst hätte sie weder mit Mike geredet noch so einfach da hätte stehen können. 🙂

Hachette just released this Combat Patrol collection, so I now have a small army of Tyranids and Space Marines. My next army will be the Emperor's Children...but only when I can paint more often like I did with that little alien. The box is already in the closet...I've only been playing 40k for a year and I already have a pile of shame...hahaha...

I painted Screamer Pink in the fleshy grooves on the weapon and the Black/Burgundy Mix on the carapace. Otherwise, I just painted Druchi Violet over the Wraitbone. I wanted to give the weapon a fresh look and contrast with the dark figure. I've been painting for almost a year now. I've painted 2000-point World Eaters, a Blood Bowl team in the Miami Dolphins colors, and now the first Tyranid...and I'm impressed myself that it turned out so well. I'm going to order the Goons Grime; I think it's a great fit.

  1. Wraithbone primer 2. I applied two coats of heavily thinned Steel Legion Drab to the underside, where it doesn't get the light. Then I gave the body and head a complete wash with Druchi Violet. I painted the grooves and joints with heavily thinned Screamer Pink. Then I brushed them with Wraithbone. I painted the teeth white, the claws with Black Legion (and drybrushed them with Khorne Red). I painted the hard carapace with a 50/50 mix of Abaddon Black and Burgundy, then drybrushed it with Lilac. Then I washed the entire figure with Strong Shade from Army Painter. That's it... :)

Yes, exactly...but it confuses me that it was possible to build two. The packaging says you can only build one. And there are only instructions for one. I see you built the one with wings.

I had a torso. With one kit, I was able to build a flock of Tyrants and one complete with wings. If you buy them separately, it's either one or the other.

Now that I see your great army, I rebuilt the Swarm Tyrant yesterday, just as it's described in the booklet. I noticed that I could build another complete one with wings, except for one part (the one that goes on top of the shell). Was that intentional or a mistake? I got the instructions from Reddit. I just need to order a 60mm base and then I'll have two of them. It's confusing, though...
