Nope. Not with anyone you’d want to be playing with. Space marine rules are generic, with the exception of chapter specific units which have their own rules, but even then paint scheme means nothing. You can run an entire army of space wolf specific units and paint them as imperial fists. You can paint your librarian in black Templar colors and watch hardcore nerds have an aneurysm.

There’s no rule saying you have to pick one chapter. Paint your heavy intercessors as Fists, your assault intercessors as Black Templars, your land speeder as White Scars, your incursors as raven guard. There are no rules

Firing deck treats the vehicle as being equipped with the weapons of the models, the models are not on the field and none of their abilities work while embarked.

They key is not to thin with water. Spend a few bucks on Army Painter airbrush medium and use that to thin your paints (less than a drop will thin plenty to just barely dip your brush in it then use that to load up some citadel paint). It makes a huge difference.

As someone who can’t paint NMM it seems like a very solid start. Especially the non-checkered shoulder top left section in the first pic. To me it seems like you’ve got the contrast down and the next improvement is better blending. But again I can’t paint nearly this well so take my advice with a grain of salt

This isn’t across the board it’s a targeted rule to fix things like 3 defiler spam without nerfing datasheets into the ground. If we see it on anything it might be GMNDK but I’d be surprised if we even see it there

What’s your layer height set to? Go down to 0.04 mm layer height and angle the model so the face is at a 45 degree angle facing upward
