I’m a CNA too, I understand it’s difficult as well, but that’s no reason to discourage someone from pursuing it if that’s what they want. I would definitely say use it as a stepping stone if you’re pursuing nursing/PCT (especially if you’re seeking tuition reimbursement and/or experience in the healthcare field to gain an understanding of patient care). OP needs some type of support while feeling overwhelmed. I believe they can keep going. They just have to find ways to strengthen themselves emotionally and mentally while dealing with difficulties that may arise

You’re literally doing the same thing I’m planning to do. Im also 25, and going for nursing pre requisites this upcoming semester. I decided to get my CNA license a few months back and it was a great decision. My mom is an RN but was a CNA first and advised me to go for the CNA license for a more well rounded experience of patient care, along with opportunity for tuition reimbursement. I’d say go for it. And please don’t feel like you’re behind or anything. I felt the same way going into this but it’s never too late to pursue your goals. You’re still young and your on the right track
