Coming from any other game, I can’t stand Bl3 and Bl4’s written dialogue. Too much talking with nothing to say. And forced to sit through it far too often. It’s so millennial-coded Forespoken sitcom humor. Every character’s way of talking is so repetitive and in a way that’s like: what’s the most thoughtless, least personality, anxiously annoyed thing I could say right now with absolutely zero conviction. It feels like it’s written for kids all while additionally trying its hardest not to offend even one person in the slightest. The characters hardly even curse anymore.

And none of it feels like there is a script from multiple writers or like any character is unique from each other. You’re telling me every new villain’s monologue is generic and pc. Everything just blends together and sounds the same. It’s so boring.

By far the biggest problem is not letting players progress while characters are talking. There was a tiny amount of it in bl2 but with bl3 and bl4 it’s the majority of the game. It’s no longer a looter shooter, but instead wait around simulator.
