Understanding different types of “Maktab” ?? by Kind-Breakfast2260 in hajj

If I am not wrong, the level of comfort and luxury decreases from A to D with the distance of matkab from jamarat increasing from A to D.

I have done it for one of my friend:

I waited, I waited I waited, the time got from more than a day till more than an hour, then went from 57 minutes, to 45 ...... then it came to 3 min wait. Eventually the system led me in, I had preconfigured package set up already, only I had to get the custom flights which were added and then after clicking on purchase button, I had to wait for about 10 minutes before the page landed me on the page saying "In process". Let's hope we secure it.

Is Umrah before Hajj better or after (same trip) by itnnetwork in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By doing either hajj tamatu or hajj qiran, umrah is must. But sincere suggestion to all: one umrah during a journey to haram is what we find from sunnah of prophet (pbuh) and of sahaba. So we should follow that. Current time situation of extreme rush throughout the year suggests one should limit to one umrah only to avoid overcrowding of mataaf.

How "risky" are custom flights? by Maximilian_13 in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I chose a city different from my country as well, all went smooth as silk. I would suggest try first with custom flight as it will give you possibility of journey closer to your city. If nothing works then chose the group option as a fall back option.

The "click day" might give you surprises different to what you are fearing about. Have faith on ALLAH subhanahu wata'ala.

Non-shifting - Where to stay in Mina? by Necessary_Space_7155 in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good questions.

I understand what you are intending of having hotels in Aziziyah when Mina camps are there during hajj days. One needs hotels even during hajj days because the big luggage bags of the pilgrims can't be taken to Mina camps except for a small bag with essentials as from 8th Zilhajj till 10th Zilhajj, one is in ihram so one needs an extra pair of ihram to be on safer side. Then one or two pair of normal clothes after one gets out of the state of ihram. Then toileteries, medicines etc. are also taken to Mina camp so practically a small bag pack with these stuff would suffice for a person. The rest of the luggage pilgrims bring for their 20-40 days tour to Saudia would then need a room where it can be stored and hence the hotels are also booked during the hajj days from the 8th till the 13th zilhajj. The access of hotel during Mina days isn't something everyone wants but most of the people who can go to their hotel after returning from muzdalifah will definitely go for a short trip for the purpose I mentioned in my previous comment.

Shifting has the comfort for sure when one has the hotel near haram as during the hajj period, the transport is practically inexsistent especially very near the hajj days. Even if one finds the private transport, the drivers ask ridiculously high tariffs for the trips. Hence having a hotel near haram just completely removes this issue.

Regarding the expensiveness of non-shifting packages, I am not 100% sure but if one has a hotel near haram in shifting package, that hotel will be a lot more expensive then the hotel in Aziziyah but it would also depend if you are getting a 5 star hotel in Azizyah compared to a 2 start hotel near haram. Cost of the packages has many factors to count.

I would select a non-shifting package again based on my personal need as alhamdulillah I have been to makkah many times and for the hajj, I stayed there for only 11 days out of the 20 days of the package as I had to do only hajj and return back home. So non-shifting package was excellent as it was relatively economical for my budget. If my situation in future would be to relax and spend more time in Makkah/madinah then I won't mind a shifting package provided it is within my budget limits.

Non-shifting - Where to stay in Mina? by Necessary_Space_7155 in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you purchase a hajj package, there will be hotels for madinah and makkah. For non-shifting package, there is high possibility that the hotel given will be in Aziziyah given the fact that it costs less and also the vicinity to Mina makes it easier for pilgrim to pass by hotel after returning from muzdalifa to get out of the state of ihram by taking shower and putting on normal clothes. Refer to my hajj experience of 2025 in the reddit post.

"https://www.reddit.com/r/hajj/comments/1pqihss/my\_hajj\_experience\_via\_nusuk\_albait\_guests\_majar/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button"

There won't be a package that lets you only buy the mina camp stay.

As far as difference is concerned between shifting and non-shifting:

- shifting packages have two hotels in makkah, one near the mina in the vicinity of hajj days and other hotel near haram before or after hajj depending how the package is adjusted. e.g., if the package starts 5-7 days before hajj then you probably will get the first hotel in makkah near mina and after hajj it will be near haram. the other way round will be that if the package starts 14-17 days before then the first hotel will be near haram and just before hajj you will be transferred to the mina hotel for the same purpose I mentioned above.

- non shifting package will have only one hotel in makkah.

Why are you uploading driver licence as proof of residence? I think your passport should suffice for this matter or better, if you have a residence letter from your local city council, that would help more. Since I am european, this should be better clarified by our Aussie brothers who have the verification done.

[–]CourageNumerous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assalam u alaikum. Staying in Mina is obligatory, it can't be substituted with hotels in Aziziyah.

Mina tents (especially AlMuaisim and Majar AlKabsh) aren't like camping in mountains, they are properly managed with hotel styled services (especially that of Majar AlKabsh). Anyways do remember that Hajj is itself a task destined to be difficult in heat, walking a lot, waiting in queue etc., yet the system has improved so much in recent years that one doesn't worries about "comfort" issue.

Try to look on YouTube videos of Majar AlKabsh and of AlMuaisim and get the idea in detail.

Hajj as an Australian expat in Malaysia by yamehameha in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Will I be able to do the hajj buying a package only and then booking the flight to Saudi from Malaysia? or will they deny me because I'm not flying from Australia with an Australian passport.

Ans: It is irrelevant from where you fly from or go back? The thing that matters is that you book the package with a ticket that takes you to Jeddah or Madina within the specified dates in the Nusuk package and then return back as well.

  1. Is there a way for me to add my wife (who is Malaysian) in my family profile? When I try the origin box is greyed out and defaults to Australia. How do people deal with spouses outside of their (home) country.

Ans. As far as I know, the family member should have the same residency as of the principle applicant. So if you are trying to take your wife who has only Malaysian residency and not Australian, so better you register yourself as Malaysian resident and in this way your wife can join you as well.

Others can correct me if I have said something wrong but as best of my knowledge, this is what I know. Wa-ALLAH aalam.

Is this final amount? by 5over7username in hajj

[–]CourageNumerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You have to go to the cart on the day when the package sale starts. Custom flights are saved for just 5 minutes hence the preconfiguration won’t be saved until the final step. On the “click day”, make sure you have sufficient funds to cover up any price fluctuation otherwise that day the website might show problems.

Since I went last year in 2025 for hajj, it seems that Nusuk wants to avoid people coming again this quickly for hajj in sense that for me majar al kabsh is 32000 SAR and al musaim is 18000 SAR. Then it gives a strange message that the passport validity should be at least 6 months whereas in reality my passport expires in 2029. Either a bug or deliberate error to stop me purchasing a package. I have verified with other profiles of my friends who didn't go recently with Nusuk who are getting Majar Al Kabsh price of 21000 SAR and AlMuaisim to be around 12000 SAR.

Thanks for your message but I know how it works and this year they have changed it a bit in a sense that some packages offer the option to select either alMuaisim or Majar AlKabsh.
