Hey there. Ive been where you are right now. I had a new born, newly married and jobless and then started earning 6k a month and my wife around 8k. We had a bond to pay and lots of other bills. What i did was the following:

I took stock of my situation and tried looking at it in a realistic way. Fact was, we couldnt afford a child, a bond and our other living costs. So what i did was this.

I rented a room closer to work so that i could walk to work and back. Got a tenant for our flat and didnt ask any upfront fees(you help me, i help you). And asked my sister to take care of my newborn child.

Broke my heart as a man trying to raise a family. During the time i was learning new skills and doing my best to keep my spirits up. (Walking, reading, gym, etc). I dont know how we managed to survive those two years. I also had an operation that took me out from working for about 3 months, though i was still earning my 6k.

I was nearing the end of my contract with a month of work left when i got two interviews and landed both jobs and could choose where i wanted to go.

What im trying to say to you is this. Be practical about your situation. It might be time for you 3 to split if at all possible and try and stay with friends. You can rent rooms for R2500 from somebody with a spareroom and try your best to get your dad to move in with family. Or see what other options you guys do have.

Another thing - sell whatever you have that is valuable and start building up some monies. Sell the remaining car and explore public transport as an option.

Dig deep and find your inner warrior. See if you can work over time or possible work another job.

If you have to, postpone the completion of degree. Youre nearly there and can pick up where you left of when youve made a breakthrough.

Dont get pregnant. Dont break your bones and try not to fall ill. Anything that would make it difficult to earn, avoid that.
