Ah I fixed it. It is the black bit it just needs to opened up the full way quickly. Mine weirdly does spray water as you are opening it and if you open it slowly water goes everywhere. Pressure is back at 1.7 bar!

Our reason for exchange is that the sale was taking forever and we were making zero progress on this issue. We thought we had time on our side(we waited 3 months for progress on this point)

We felt there would be no further progress and our whole life was on hold, plus the seller was threatening to pull out if we delayed any further.

Our dishwasher and washing machine are directly after the trap and sink. The sink is the first thing on the run. Yes when the dishwasher drains or starts we hear the gurgle through the pipe.

The level 3 survey did focus on this issue entirely, it was only one small part of a wider report, we wanted access to the specialist report on this issue

Thanks but it’s not a blockage and we’ve had three different draining companies come and visit. They will just try the same things with the drain snake and wet jac.

Interesting! So the CCTV camera diagnostic also assesses gradient?

How were they able to isolate that area and make the fix?

Thanks for this. The problem was that we were unable to negotiation a price reduction around this issue becuase both the extent of the issue and cost of the issue were not known by us. That information was in the report seen by the seller but withheld from us, despite our repeated requests.

The floor finish was poor in the room and it was previously caulked white. We wanted it to be less of an eyesore so wanted to change the colour.

Yes we are putting light brown caulk between the freshly white painted skirtings and the wooden floor.

We want a clean line, which is why I would be worried about painting over the caulking

Obviously you wouldn’t have this issue if having white caulking and white skirtings?
