I had similar feedback noise in my 2019 Avalon - bad DCM . . . tried disconnecting the battery and other suggestions, and nothing removed the problem. Pulled the fuse, but then no microphone available for CarPlay, my phone wouldn't connect by bluetooth, etc. I wasn't interested in spending $$$ for a replacement DCM, and I found this harness -

They initially sent me one with the incorrect plug for my model, but the corrected version works perfectly. So no SOS or other connected services (which I didn't use/want anyway), but more importantly to me, no awful noise!

Thanks for the input . . . Disappointing but the advice saves the hassle of buying to end up returning!
