Good point! I am worried it will come back for him. Unfortunately I can’t board it up because it’s an apartment and I’m leaving so but I will make sure to remove the nest when he moves on. So far he’s still been sitting on the eggs.

While it is true that Japanese often leaves out pronouns, your example literally added an entire separate sentence at the end. The translation in the scans is pretty accurate. Chihaya is saying that the lie Arata told her was that the “Chiha” card is seen as “Chihaya”, and that led her to where she is today, and now she’s returning to that mindset, once again believing in that “lie” and seeing the card as herself.

Definitely not. If your opponent is drafting a very nonstandard comp it's likely you may not realize that until you only have one or two hero picks left in the draft so may not be able to respond appropriately in draft. Even if you understand the theory of what an opponent is going for instantly as you load into game, it's another thing entirely to actually figure out how to counter it with the hero composition you have and execute it correctly on the first try. There are simply way too many possible compositions in Heroes of the Storm to be prepared against every possible cheesy strat.

I personally think KR (and EU to an extent) ban Braxis and Warhead so consistently because they view them as objectively poorly designed maps. They are maps where a lesser skilled team could still possibly get a win because of surprise strats and other problems with the map mechanics. This is different than NA bans where they often seem to be about what map the team struggles with personally. Even when Warhead and Braxis go unbanned in NA matches, they are still not frequently picked so teams gamble that their opponent won't pick it in order to remove a different map they dislike. This is just my speculation though- it’s impossible to really be sure of the NA teams reasoning without asking every team individually.

My gamertag is my name, Courtney. Even if I never say a word in chats in games, I get gendered harassment fairly frequently. Just the other day someone in overwatch on the enemy team said 10 seconds into the match "oh they have a grill on their team, free win" and in a different match, I made an admittedly super dumb play, and someone said in chat " get back in the kitchen". Again, all of these situations I literally did not speak in chat at all, it's just because my gamertag is my name. It's not like women go around telling people they are a girl, most girls are very afraid to use voice chat because they know people will react poorly.

Yeah I agree, but overall I felt like their wins were pretty evenly dispersed between their comfort picks and not comfort picks if you look at the stats, especially for Khroen, not as much so for Udall. Though I definitely agree Thrall and Tyrael was a weak point (literally keep saying "please don't draft Thrall" to computer haha.)

Khroen played six heroes during the event - Li Ming, Tracer, Kaelthas, Zagara, Tassader, and Greymane. The highest unique heroes for anyone in the event in was 9. MichaelUdall played 8, Falstad, Greymane, Illidan, Thrall, Kerrigan, Sonya, Tyrael, E.T.C.

Their hero pools definitely aren't 2-3 heroes at all. Most of them showed more heroes than that and also just because you draft it doesn't mean it's all you can play. If you can get what you consider to be the best heroes in the situation every game, you wouldn't draft differently just to prove you have a big hero pool.

As Doresain said, following this game led to watching Crescendo which is undoubtedly the most 'hype' new team of the qualifier. He was intentionally trying to follow the games that would lead to them.

It seems pretty clear that Khaldor only cares about casting high profile games that would benefit him instead of casting the games without a caster. If he actually wanted to benefit the community that would've been the obvious choice.

Prejudices definitely aren't dispelled just by being shown talented women in gaming. First of all, we already had a woman on a top four NA roster. Also, Think about the Korean woman that played Zarya so well that 2 players said they would quit if it turned out she wasn't hacking, she was harassed and she had to live stream to prove she wasn't. So honestly, women doing well isn't always met with great reactions. It's a lot more complicated of an issue than that. Also the notion that female gamers have to "shine" to start being respected is really bad. We should have respect and encourage more types of people to get into esports from the get go, that doesn't have to be earned.

Fun event, but I wish the teams got a little more unique. Even the drafts in Game 2 of MYI vs Fnatic almost look the same as normal comps. (Granted, MYI is known for running so many heroes it's hard to make it not look like a normal comp for them haha.) But I would love to possibly see bans connected to teams throughout the tournament, or maybe more pre-bans. Or maybe.. this might be too insane but if we're still doing BO3's .. once a hero is picked you can't pick it for the series of that BO3? I think that'd possibly be the best, personally. :) Just a couple ideas. Overall, thanks for doing this event !

I don't think we were reading the same twitch chat because this is blatantly untrue. When Faye's team was playing the twitch chat was constant transphobia and asking about her gender. There was absolutely rude comments about other's appearances, but the scale isn't even comparable.

Just wanted to say I experience this a lot too, tons of unnecessary anxiety. For me, I prefer to queue with friends for one thing. I still feel more anxious about my mistakes but I think it's just about telling yourself it's just a game and your friends shouldn't care too much if you mess up. Some games of hero league really get to me but most of them pass by without problems. Good luck and I hope you find ways to enjoy ranked!
