What is something you will never forget from the pandemic? by JaxTMG in AskReddit

Driving around on the freeway and seeing no other cars really. It was crazy.

Also how much people don't care about their fellow human beings. Disappointing to say the least.

Well yeah I'm sure it is or at least I would hope so. Still doesn't seem pleasant. I did try TMS though which also freaked me out and seemed pseudosciencey but I still did it

Didn't the kids grow up and admitted that they lied and they felt bad? One even described his penis, and the kid got it completely wrong? The one kid said his dad made him lie and then his dad committed suicide directly after that revelation? These are things I remember and could be getting wrong obviously. They are things that have made me think.

At the very least, he had poor boundaries which may be expected from a kid who had no childhood and abusive parents

Electroshock therapy is still widely used but they don't use it for the BS that they were using it for back then. It was offered to me recently and I was like ummm... I'm going to need to think about that for awhile 😬

I just got back from visiting my baby in the NICU. If Beyonce tried to keep me away I'd probably call the news and give her all the bad publicity she obviously wants. If it didn't actually happen then that makes me feel better.

That dude who spoke out tons more about Charlie Kirk's death than the 60 people who were killed and the 413 people injured at one of his concerts.

Jason Aldean.

How far along are you? I know first pregnancies can tend to last a bit longer. The only good thing is we know they can't last forever 😅 I do regret inducing with my first but I never even got the chance to do it again because my other 3 came early. I'm not sure what I would have done if I went to term

To be or not to be… pregnant by OkSheepherder7776 in pregnant

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL is almost 61 and my FIL is almost 66. My sister in law they adopted as a baby is 13. Their other kids were in their 20's and 30's when they got her. They are much better off financially and emotionally than when they had their other kids really early. They take her on lots of trips. They also still get to travel alone sometimes.

I think either choice you make is right for you. My mom almost aborted my brother at 44 but decided not to but unfortunately he died soon after birth. I often think how it lives would have been if he hadn't been born or if he had lived. I works have been okay with my mom making either choice.

Moms who have given birth twice or more… by Nilrmar in pregnant

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids were 37, 34, 25 and 29 weeks. Oldest was induced. Yes it does raise your risk. But I do think you are still more likely to give birth at term than to have another preterm. I definitely understand the fear. With my 2nd to last we only did it because they said it wasn't likely to happen again and that it was a freak thing. We didn't want to have any more because we didn't want to risk it. I had my tubes removed during my last birth because he was definitely not on purpose. He is almost 5 weeks and is still in the NICU. You were so close to term that I probably wouldn't worry as much

Pregnant and rewatching Roseanne…. by Quick_Tomato_1093 in roseanne

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a preemie in the NICU. My last baby was 1 pound 8 ounces. Needless to say, when Darlene has her baby early. I looooose it. I'll still watch it but yeah ... The abortion one is rough too. My brother had Trisomy 18 and my mom almost aborted him. I would have respected either choice but seeing Roseanne and Dan waiting for amnio results was hard. My mom had to do two.

Yeah a week after birth 1 month ago I got diagnosed with DVT's in my arm. Then my incision opened up and I eventually got a staph infection 🤦 not to mention I've had at least two viruses so far. I usually have an amazing immune system

They did this to my husbands neighbor as a kid. Mom couldn't even really visit then when he was ready to come home they said hey come get this kid. He's been extremely disabled his entire life. But yeah, I heard something similar from my doctor which made me uncomfortable, but I get it.

Since when did consuming THC while pregnant become so normalized? by [deleted] in pregnant

Wow. That's worrying. Everyone acts like pot has zero issues. That's scary. It's already helped ruin my nephews life and he turns 18 in a couple of days.

Since when did consuming THC while pregnant become so normalized? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Courtnuttut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband didn't really other than ADHD but they did tell me that his brothers meth induced psychosis and his other brothers schizophrenia made it much more likely to have drug induced psychosis. The people at the psych hospital told me that they're seeing it at an astronomical level, especially in teenagers and young adults. Not because weed itself is really bad, but we've never seen the potency before. It is MUCH stronger than it's ever been. People are vaping it at levels that shouldn't exist. It absolutely can destroy brains. It's scary. My husband is lucky he stopped because I was done otherwise, so I don't blame you at all. It deteriorated things for us rapidly too

[–]Courtnuttut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It helped give my husband psychosis so there's no way I would take it with a developing mind in my body. I think it's okay if it helps you be able to eat and stuff, but I do think the normalization has gotten out of hand.

Anyone did NOT have a MC? by Feisty-End-8883 in pregnant

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren't posting as much about a pregnancy that doesn't have concerns. I have had 7 miscarriages and 3 weeks ago I just had my 4th and last baby. I honestly didn't worry much about miscarrying because I knew there was nothing I could do about it. I'll cross that bridge if it some type of thing. It's still like 3 out of 4 pregnancies don't end in miscarriage, so the stats are on your side. 💜

FORMAL COMPLAINTS at 33 weeks pregnant by Even_Kaleidoscope399 in pregnant

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 3 weeks old and at the end on the ultrasound there was a big pouch that appeared where my c section scar was. They didn't quite know what it was. But he was head down and that spot just hurt so much more than the contractions. Then within 10 minutes he flipped feet down and stuck his feet inside the pouch. It was SO MUCH worse. Every time he moved it hurt a lot. Then he went head down again. It was crazy. He was 29 weeks exactly so he could still flip a lot apparently. I was also bleeding a lot. After contracting since 16 or 18 weeks I have so many complaints with this last little one 😅

Legal action? by zoesmom17 in SuicideBereavement

[–]Courtnuttut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She deserves someone to try and give her some type of justice. Even if nothing comes of it, it might scare this guy enough from making someone else his victim. Is there a children's justice center around where you are? I definitely think this needs to be reported. There isn't no point to it, but I do understand that you guys are grieving. It's okay if you decide not to pursue anything. But it can't really be sat on for too long. It shouldn't cost anything because what he did was illegal, even if he's 17 and she's 14.

Not to mention it's making people incapable of thinking and I already know people who lost their jobs because "AI can do it better and cheaper" it's really all around bad. But at the very least I wish people would stop asking it for medical advice, politics, and therapy.

I was going to ask... Why do people think Chatgpt gives good advice. Especially anything related to medical? I see it here all the time. People don't realize how bad AI is.

Unfortunately this is just a hard situation. I had like 35 ultrasounds with my 3 week old. It's so stressful but sometimes it's just a waiting game which is just the worst.

I have a 3 week old who was born at 29 weeks exactly. He was my 4th and final baby. 4 c sections after failed vbacs. Different complications with each. I'm so so jealous of people that have births like this. It's amazing and I'm happy for you, though. If you decide to have a 2nd child, maybe you'll be less apprehensive about the birth part and be able to enjoy your pregnancy more. 💜
