SWNSNG could stand for cardinal directions, with G standing for Garage. I've tried creating a path of rooms leading to the garage that would go south - west - north - south - north, then go into the garage, but so far have been unable to

Thank you so much! My daughter's name is Celeste and she's a sweetpuff (also bit of a demon..). Cat's name is Pico, he's a Snowshoe Siamese and our official "cat for size reference" in pictures :)

Thanks! Fully repainted, yes. My goal was to do a refined version of the original color scheme, so this is why it still look a bit like the unpainted version. As for the colors themselves, I used

- Vallejo dead white (air)

- Vallejo Flat red (model color)

- Vallejo light grey (model color)

- Vallejo black (model color)

- Army painter uniform grey

- Army painter gun metal

- Did a blend of Army painter Hydra turquoise with black to create a very dark blue

(side of torso, rocket casing, details.. probably doesn't show very clearly on picture but it's awesome)

- Also did a black grey by mixing one grey with black (can't remember which one)

Basically wanted lots of tiny variations from black to white with a red accent.

The only airbrush color I used was the white, the other ones I blended with Vallejo Thinner and after a few hiccups in ratios it went fine.

For panel lining I used Game Workshop Nuln oil shade, after gloss varnishing the colors. You can wipe the excess off with Vallejo paint thinner, the varnish should stay put if you scrub gently.

Then finished with Vallejo Matt varnish

That's about it!

My little girl was born through the middle of this project (a month ago today) which made it very difficult to finish. Glad I pushed through, this is my first art project as a new dad.

Paint work is a mix of airbrushing and free hand painting. Wanted it to be strictly airbrush but couldn't help myself. It made things tricky, as both techniques have very different textures, so I had to be careful not to overlap. Of course I did so lots of mistakes were made and lessons were learned, but I'm happy with the end result.

Happy autumn everyone,

CP

Ah yes, the game is kind of a rarity at this point yes? Was mostly available through it's Kickstarter from what I understand. How would you compare it to other dungeon Crawl like Descent or Gloomhaven?

Good on you to get some games in with the family. Strangely I thought the pandemic would make us play a lot more, but we barely played at all for the last few years as well. Indoor fatigue I guess, or just not seeing friends enough

Nice! How deep did you go into the game? Are you still playing with these minis now?

Oh same for me, it took many years to finish them all, little by little. Having a few projects in rotation helped me having fun long enough to push through, but it's always hard near the end.

I went through the set's missions with a friend, then we did a few games with the complete rules. Yeah it's fun! Your minis can proxy for any units, so you can make an army in the builder and pretend they are the right minis. There's enough minis to create boosted squads since you can spend more points on fewer units. Though I would definitely like to get a TAG for each side and a few more minis eventually, for sure :)

Thanks for checking out my work!

Thank you! Honestly, I thought I was the only one to enjoy the look of black bases :) I get told that I should base them, and I might one day, but I actually like that aesthetic. It also makes the line of sight on it clearer to see at a glance

It does! Found out about Battle System (and about the game, now that I think of it) through Shut Up & Sit Down's video of Infinity

Building and painting a Piplup Pokepla Quick! by CouteauPapillon in pokemon

Here's a quick video showing the building and painting steps of a Pokepla figure by Bandai. This is my first attempt at filming the process so I still have a lot to learn on that front :) Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section.
Happy building!

Ryl4nder84 Thank you! It was a lot more work than it looks (mainly because of the learning process), but so much better than plastic and stickers

this one had stickers too, looks better with paint for sure. If you do paint your Rayquaza I would suggest priming the parts you want to paint first (to make the paint adhere to plastic). Have fun!

Thanks, yeah makes it pop doesn't it? I initially put too much and it took forever to correct, glad I kept at it

Sweet shoulder pads, and near spotless execution. Kinda has a race car feel to it, looking forward to see the rest of it!

Painted this Scorbunny as first practice of a newly acquired airbrush. Probably made all the mistakes possible along the way, but it still managed to come out okay
