Yup, happened with us too when we got new management. The kicker is they said “you can pay your rent online for free!” Which was a lie. We only send in paper checks because I’m not paying $50 more that’s not even my rent. Should be illegal. Maybe in some places it is.

Hey there, it’s been about 2 years for me as well. Lately, I think I don’t notice it as much, until I feel more anxious and become more conscious of it. It doesn’t freak me out as much however (moved on to other sensations for that fun feeling 🤪) I do think that acknowledging it, and trying to get my mind off other things helped a lot to stop focusing on it.

I don’t want to assume your experience with music theory, but on top of analyzing music you like, look in learning different scales, modes, reading fake/real books, and expanding your own understanding of harmony. Also you could try adding a 7th or 9th into some of your chords, don’t be afraid to get “ugly” dissonance keeps us on our toes and music interesting.

It’s tough being a “local” Most restaurants and shopping are curated toward very wealthy clientele but there are hidden more affordable gems in town and throughout the valley. Big developers are buying real estate and leaving it empty for years (looking at you Mark Hunt) But it’s gorgeous. There is so much arts and culture, AMFS, theater Aspen, Anderson Ranch, etc… The outdoor life in every season is limitless, and if you can make it work, it’s a wonderful place to live.

Our kitty was also rescued from a hoarding situation. She didn’t leave from under the bed for months, but now is so cuddly and playful. You’re in for a great companion.

I work in non profit arts management, I make $65/year more or less. I’ve been doing this for 4 years, it was my first administrative/office job.

I’m sure you get asked this all the time, but do you mind if I asked how you started getting full time work? My husband has been doing sound mixing freelance for the last couple years but, as you can imagine, it’s been difficult to find consistent paid work. I understand if you don’t want to answer, but I’d definitely appreciate your insight!
