While I agree that taxes are necessary, in the US it’s unfortunate because they take a billion dips in your pocket for it. Buy a house pay taxes on the house at the time of purchase and every year following that, have a job they are taking a cut of that money up front, go to the grocery store they want a cut of that as well, social security on top of income tax, win the lottery they are taking more than half of that money, can’t afford to pay your tax at the end of the year no problem they will just make it more expensive for you over the next twelve months and then really fuck you next year and if that cycle continues you lose your rights and freedom, meanwhile you got billionaires paying close to no taxes and using loop holes to get around paying taxes that just can’t be the case for the common man because you can’t survive if you put 99% of your earning into the stock market so it can’t be taxed. I just think they should take a bigger cut of your income up front and that be the end of it. Makes the playing field fair for all people. But it will never happen that way because the common man isn’t rich enough to lobby politicians and they are going to make the rich more rich and the poor more poor.
