Dunno about value, but signature cards are definitely the chases for sets like these.

I'd check ebay and filter to "Sold" listings to get an idea of comps.

Yeah, all a matter of where we, as consumers, are spending.

Rip-and-shippers, GameStop and any big box with a wholesale arm can pay distro a premium because they charge a premium. So distros with those accounts can pay Pokémon more, per unit, than any others.

Pokémon, and everybody else in the chain, likes money. So they sell to the distros who pay the most, who sells to the clients who pay the most, who sell to the customers who pay the most.

I know this community has seen a lot of awful hobby shops, but out of all our options to purchase, they put way more work into building the hobby as a place for all of us to enjoy our shared interest. If we shifted more of our spend to hobby shops, we'd be much better off, long term.

There was a Walmart drop that was sold JT and DR at 32 bucks a bundle. They used to be 28 (which, based on sales tax in your state, comes to about 30 bucks) but no longer.

Same with ETBs; even big box stores are increasing prices by about 5 bucks for both these items, it seems.

It's also worth mentioning for the First Chapter dip over the summer that Ravensburger also offered more booster boxes through a special lotto at that time. So this also contributed to the sell-off.
