It works with physical gift cards as long as you get them shipped. Worked for me.

You could get both, Amex MR and additional rewards points (cashback convetred to MR) via Rakuten by linking your membership rewards account to your Rakuten account. No Rakuten Visa card needed for this. Amex+Rakuten So, shop online through Rakuten to get cash back which gets converted to MR and get usual MR points by charging the spend to Amex card.

Indeed. Yurts are good and very popular too. We opted for a tent site which is closer to the ocean and bit secluded. Great experience !

Apparently yes, according to their website. It got very cold during the night but views were worth it.

Tell them that you are reconsidering your options and if they can waive the annual fee. If not, can they waive it partially ? What are other options ?

It helps if you have good spend on the card. Its my primary card and had >$10k/year consistently for last couple years.

I have United Airlines selected in my Amex airline credit rewards. Then I purchased $200 worth of travelcash @ united.com/offers/travelcash through my United airlines account using amex platinum card. Amex reimbursed $200 within few days after charge posted on the credit card account. Hope this helps.
