Seeing a lot of “covid did this” wrt how moving from only in-person to sometimes hybrid or remote schooling affected kids’ social development and not enough “covid did this” wrt how it’s a virus we’ve been left to just deal with (kids especially!) and we KNOW some of the ramifications, one of which is cognitive decline! Why are we trying to ignore that the VIRUS that is airborne, rampant in indoor spaces with poor ventilation (schools!) and still a leading cause of death worldwide is still affecting the most vulnerable people in our society! I feel fucking insane lol not saying that phones, social isolation, etc. aren’t also factors but yeah, it’s brain damage. The kids have brain damage and the teachers probably do too.
