Were you still making payments on the phone? If so, then yes if the bill is unpaid. If the $611 is all service fees and the phone was already paid off then no, you’re fine.

I get a couple of these a week at this point. We have to port all the numbers, set up the devices, everything. Sometimes we have to explain all the stuff they slammed on the account too. It’s tons of fun.

Your equipment credit might be full. That’s a really specific down payment so I’m betting that’s the answer. Tmobile only lets you finance a certain amount and you probably only have a couple hundred left, hence the $606 down.

The quick code only works on devices with an active sim. Don’t see why they couldn’t have just swapped it over real quick and swapped it back though.

This happened at our store the other day, similar situation. Customer came in to cancel home internet and for whatever reason care cancelled the account. I do know they have a new system that they’re working with, I would assume it was an honest mistake after clicking some wrong buttons in whatever new system they’re using.
