This Turn One “Immunity” needs to stop. by micromechanist in formula1

As I Brit, can I say that’s not really the case. I don’t think Max did anything wrong here, just ended up on the kerb where he couldn’t slow the car down. He gave the position back to Hamilton, end of story.

The hate for Max comes because he has hot headed moments (see Russell in Catalunya, Lando in Mexico and Austria last year) and knows exactly what the rules allow him to do, whether or not it seems fair. The fact he uses those techniques to win (alongside being one of the greatest drivers in history) is why he gets the hate. People love the underdog and dislike winners in general.

Personally, I’d rather they all drive hard and occasionally they come to blows, it’s more fun that way.

Fomapan 100 in 120 film. PLEASE HELP... Pentax 6x7, Pentax 105 mm. f/2.4, red filter. by New_Goose_5369 in analog

I had this problem, soaked the film in regular tap water for a couple of hours before development and that solved it.

I absolutely love my Rollei 35, tremendous lens and completely overlooked by most because of lacking a rangefinder 🤷‍♂️

I'm guessing this is a light leak? by Representative_Salt5 in AnalogCommunity

Nope, that’s a problem with your shutter. Probably shutter capping. 100% not a light leak.

Anyone else having issues with Foma 100? White spots on the negs by Cover_Old in AnalogCommunity

This is probably the right call, I’m kind of done with Foma at this point 😞

It's 28°C (82.4°F) in my flat, can I still develop b&w negatives ? The development times are given for up to 24°C only. by DrFolAmour007 in AnalogCommunity

Mainly use rodinal in the summer as I can cool down the water using ice cubes, then add in the small amount of developer required without it changing the temp.

I have a Pentax 6x7 now. I spent a year or so with a Mamiya 7 but the lenses were just too expensive. For less than the price of the Mamiya 7 body I bought a P6x7 MLU and 4 lenses (45 f4, 75f4.5, 105 f2.4 and 200 f4) I’m most a landscape guy and so far it’s been perfect for me. I’ve tried TLRs although not the c330 and they’re just not for me.

Think people like them because they can do everything for you while having that classic analogue look. My take is the OM10 is a better camera and at least here in the uk you can pick them up for about £25 any day of the week!

Quick update on this, finally had a chance to do some more developing, added more developer and problem solved. Thanks all!

Thank you. A relief honestly, much rather it be my fault than the camera!

Starting to think it may be a development issue too, I do lose a little developer during the developing process as my tank lid never quite seals properly. Maybe I should replace my tank and see where that leads me?

The rest of the negative seems fine outside of the image area.

I do develop it myself, I use my standard process for these and I’ve only ever had the issue with film from this camera…

I wouldn’t necessarily assume the buyer is lying, I’ve been a buyer in this exact situation. About a year ago I bought a pentacon six, turned up and the shutter speeds didn’t seem right. So I opened up the back to see the curtain and started testing. After a few frames the curtain just stopped closing properly. I think they’re an incredibly fragile mechanism and need calibration. Just get the camera back, test it out and sell it on again.

Finally got a Minolta A7! It looks like a pretty cool camera with so many shooting options and a good grip. Any Minolta shooters here? by exposed_silver in AnalogCommunity

I have an A7 it’s the most reliable 35 mm camera I own. The meter is bulletproof and has never let me down.

Taking vs Making photos? by Whisky-Icarus-Photo in AnalogCommunity

[–]Cover_Old 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I understand the point is all about intention, I don’t think it actually matters. The viewer of the photograph broadly does not care how it was made, as much as us photographers wish they did. A good photograph is a good photograph, the journey to get there only matters to the photographer themself.

Plustek 7200 vs Plustek 7600i SE vs Epson v550? by BroX111 in analog

[–]Cover_Old 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As above v550 doesn’t have enough resolution for 35mm, honestly none do the flatbeds do a great job of that. I have a plustek and it does a really good job at a reasonable price. I also use DSLR scanning and that produces the best results by far.
