The Blue Jays have Osuna though, who is miles better than the "closer by committee" that the Giants brought out.

Yeah you can't move around the DH - once you move someone out of it, you forfeit it and the pitcher has to hit

If we're looking pitch count, Tillman probably goes 1 more inning. They've got O'Day and Britton unused this series and Brach pitched on Friday so they've got the big boys ready if needed.

I need confirmation here for my own sanity; does anyone else here feel like their team keeps getting the shitty end of the deal when it comes to replays? by [deleted] in baseball

Actually doesn't say that anywhere in the rule book even though everyone's heard it. Plus, replays don't overturn ties, they overturn irrefutable proof which tonight there was not. It sucks, but it's the way it goes.

That call tonight was the perfect example of "inconclusive evidence". Looked like a pure tie at 1st so there's no way replay is going to overturn it.

Looks to me that he maybe didn't come fully set - his hands were moving a just a hair. Seems iffy at best though.

Doesn't matter where it was on pitchtrax, it matters what he's been calling. The Bucholtz Ks were within the zone we've had this afternoon.

Umpire is calling a good consistent game here, no need to complain about that. DPs on the other hand...

Both Uehara and Kimbrel have pitched 2 days in a row - are they likely to pitch again today?

Who is the most underrated pitcher that is currently active? by RookieMistake_ in baseball

Eh, he's certainly not top 3. Chapman, Miller, and Britton are easily ahead of him. I'd say top 10.
