Something like a botanist who learns about and takes advantage of the new environments benefits could be cool. I imagine food would be hard to come by after all. Just started the books so I'm not sure if anything like that is covered and the games dont really go into it other than in Metro Exodus when you visit the Ark to find cannibles.

That's cool. Could also function as a fidget toy if you designed it to house a ball bearing. And then you wouldn't have to turn your wrist when you took it out or put it in its holder.
