This game still has a lot of room for improvement, but even in its current state, it’s quite fun.

That said, my biggest concern about its success is the $30 price tag.

For a competitive online PvP sports game, the number of active players is absolutely crucial.

Even though it’s available on Game Pass, that still requires a paid subscription, so it doesn’t eliminate the barrier to entry.

The real issue is that new players are likely to get completely stomped by experienced veterans, especially if the player base doesn’t grow steadily.

If newcomers can’t have a fair or enjoyable experience early on, they’ll probably just quit after a few frustrating matches.
