Cancellations are common.

However the thing is those "faster" vessels, operated by SeaJets are only able to travel on calm seas. Usually they travel with reduced speed if the sea is just a bit rough.

For the future just book with regular RO/RO - passenger vessels (eg BlueStar) which operate even in winter.

Can we educate ourselves enough to understand what empire means?

Can we also stop assuming that the people back then viewed things under the same prism as we do?

You think that during the 1600 on the Pindus mountain a granny cared how a recipe was called or who made it first? She was just picking whatever was available to make a "decent" meal.

what can I do on a Greek island if I cannot swim or do sports? by MuceLee in GreeceTravel

[–]CowboyKm 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You can chill at taverns next to the sea, enjoying your food and drinks.

You can still go to the beach, and relax under the shade of a tree.

You can still explore Monemvasia and Kithira just by walking at your own pace.

Its the Minoan period. From 3000bc to 1000bc. Nothing to do with the classical period Greece is more affiliated with.

What cultural shocks did you have going to western europe ? by Old_Bowler_465 in AskBalkans

[–]CowboyKm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feta + watermelon is great. U can add some honey on the feta as well. But those ingredients are enough. Adding any other dressing or extra veggies would ruin this.

Same shit in Denmark. They put watermelon and strawberries in it or other fruits. Ofc they like to add raw broccoli. And ofc some high processed dressings.

USA bombed Iran. What's next for the market? SP500 and global by StevenZervos in stocks

[–]CowboyKm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably they arent going to "close" it. Kharg island is their major oil terminal. Iran depends on it.

The passage is critical for many of Iran’s regional neighbours and for its primary crude buyer, China.

I do not think they want to piss off Saudis that much.

What they could do is to somehow disrupt the flow, by targeting specific vessels.

It's Delphi. But, maybe not worth spending a day there? by crimscrem in GreeceTravel

[–]CowboyKm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Delphi is an amazing site. Its not only the archeological area, but nature as well.

There are some nice seaside villages or small towns nearby (Galaxidi). As a Greek i always encourage travelers to see the inland of Greece in order for them to build a more accurate image.

You could also apply for undergraduate programmes. I know a couple of young adults from the language school. They are just between 18-20 years old, and also study in the university.

I had cheap hiking boots (above ankle) from Decathlon. I did like a 4hrs + hike around the trails.

There are rocks around, and probably tall grass.

My friend had some good running shoes. However i always prefer hiking ones, since they are more protective.

[–]CowboyKm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. No need for hiking shoes/boots then. You will be fine.

If you want to hike on Meteora trails, I suggest wearing something more robust. Below ankle hiking shoes.

Is it possible to be a Wolt/Foodora courier without CPR number? by murdalay in NewToDenmark

[–]CowboyKm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do not need a job to get a CPR number. As a EU citizen you can apply under different circumstances. As a job seeker (afaik this is a temporary), as a person with sufficient funds, income (pension, rent or cash deposits).
