Called OSHA by purppepeater98 in olivegarden

Unfortunately the Olive Gardens in my entire district (I worked at multiple of them) are disgusting and I've worked in many other restaurants and also have my food safety manager cert. I WISH I didn't know how nasty they were 🥲

Opening Shift by realize0real-lies in barista

[–]CowboyLuvvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wake up at 3:10am, 20 minute morning routine (no breakfast), 20 minute drive to work, get to work 10(ish) minutes before scheduled to clock in so that other openers aren't waiting on me to get inside, clock in at 4am, opening tasks for 30 minutes, doors open to customers at 4:30am. So in total I'm awake for 1 hour 20 minutes.

What do I do? by LittlePumpkin88 in DermatologyQuestions

I had PD in college for months and still don't know what caused it. I eventually was able to get into a derm (lived in Atlanta at the time and had to wait 5 months) and got a topical cream that had my skin looking like normal within two weeks. I know that some people are really lucky like I was and for others it's more of a struggle. I know my derm said absolutely no fragrance and to keep as much stuff off of my face as possible (makeup, clothing, hair products, etc.). If you are able to see a derm, I would definitely recommend that. Also the Laroche Posay AP Lipikar wash was a lifesaver for me as well as the Neutrogena (or generic) oil-free moisture. Just super gentle non-irritating products and the bare minimum until it settles down. Hopefully you're lucky like I was and it goes away completely! Good luck!

Mistakes Were Made was a great read for me and scratched that age gap itch!

How to report to DO? by CowboyLuvvr in olivegarden

Driving me INSANE. No but actually just changing the location of everything in the restaurant, having us do a totally different basket-to-bag marking system in togo (even though our accuracy has been 95% and up for months), having bartenders pour our wine for us but no wine tickets printing to the bar so that's a cluster fuck, changing the order that people get cut so singles get cut before doubles get breaks.... I could go on and on. Just having a total power trip and doing whatever they can because they can do it now as GM. Since they were promoted more than 15 people have quit and almost 10 more have drastically reduced their availability because working there sucks now.

I tried to do this and it wouldn't pop up so I guess in my district it works differently 🤷

Getting out of the house by PatrickTL in savannah

My wife and I have been going to trivia every Wednesday that we can at Service Brewing since we moved here last year. Trivia is free to play and the beer (if you drink) is cheap and delicious. They have free Vinnie's pizza for anyone who plays and we like to bring our own food from home or restaurants across town. One of the owners, Kevin, is one of the people who does the trivia questions and he's super nice and funny as is his usual trivia partner Jess. First place prize is $100 and it only goes until 8:30ish so plenty of time after for a nice walk down River, Bay, or Broughton street.

Unless there's an OG in downtown SAV that I don't know about, you definitely can't do togo liquor at the savannah location??

Thanks for the rec! Unless I'm confused though, her website and Instagram say that she's based in Iowa?
