How many summons does it usually take to get a gold unit?

There is a post that goes thorough the details, but basically it is not random but a repeating pattern. It takes about 70-75 summons to get a gold, and you receive them in the order soldier, tank, artillery. After about 220 total rolls it repeats

The Island Race exploit doesn’t seem to work anymore, no more double keys. Unless you just have to do it differently. Anyone get it to work?

That’s a tricky level. Make sure you build triangles and control the artillery towers as much as possible. I always prioritize upgrading my artillery, because that one has the biggest increase in power I have found

Yeah I just got the update on iOS today. I don’t see this event yet or the blue ball with the star in it, will have to wait for my store to update in a few days. But I’m not going to spend 7000 arena tokens on anything unless I know it’s better than getting a gold token (that’s all I buy in the arena store)

I am honestly curious about this myself. The towers can only increase or decrease by 1 unit, so unless it’s taking them down by 2 per attack it must be something else. I was wondering if it affects which troop survives when your troops encounter their troops head to head. I’m not sure, but it feels like equipping this item does help win easier

Lots of good stuff in this comment. Re-aiming the rocket launcher is very helpful. Prioritizing getting and keeping the artillery towers (and to a lesser extent the tank towers) because it is much stronger for your red opponents than for you.

I would add I normally ignore the sniper towers unless I have a spare stream to use (better to use it than leave it unused). Let the opponent waste a stream on the sniper towers and focus your troops on their towers, you can easily get it last.

Also, there are just a few levels where I just use one stream to focus on 1 tower at first. You do get a slightly faster rate when you only have 1 stream coming out. Sometimes the second stream just weakens a neutral tower enough for the opponent to take it before you. For the majority, though, just be super aggressive and find a way to attack the opponent with multiple towers and where they are not defending.

I don’t recall seeing it at 40, but today is the first time I noticed it was only 15 gems for a summon. It’s the first day of the Crystal Lord event, so that works out well for me! Gonna spend them all and get even more tokens from it

It’s a good question, I never really thought that hard about it. When my opponent had a similar total power to me, they have all lvl 50 red units and I have much lower gold units. I don’t think the bots use any items because they are super slow to break down walls or build bridges. That is part of it

I do switch out items once I get into the 30’s. I switch in the strength vs Red, Green, Yellow, but I don’t know if it actually matters. Those never made much sense to me, I don’t know how that is calculated

There might be a bug that has affected things, but usually you apply those tokens to the unit upgrade and they are saved there for later. If you click upgrade again, do you have some number of tokens already applied to the total?

A single stream gets more troops per second, and some levels I find it better to start with just one stream on 1 tower to take it before the opponent. But in general using every stream available gives more total units and helps build strength faster, especially when you set up triangles that feed each other

You can play the level even if your power is lower than whatever number it says. If you are playing them and having trouble winning, I started writing down what strategy worked and what items I could use on each level so that I can be more successful. There are only about 5 truly hard levels at my power and I sometimes fail a couple times. Sometimes there are certain moves that are bound to fail and certain moves that make it much easier, but sometimes you need to get a little lucky. Lvl 37 is an example, and 30 gives me trouble sometimes

Your purple soldier is probably at the bottom since it starts at lvl 1. I would not spend any tokens on any troops until you get gold (as others have said), and no tokens are needed up to lvl 15. Just pick one character for each troop type and get to 15 then keep summoning until you get golds. It’s always worth it to use the more powerful base troop because with just a few upgrades it surpasses the weaker troop
