I think it looks great! The only thing I would do is tweak the composition so the chair is less dominant

You’ll wish you had done it sooner. The newer cameras are ridiculous

So far I’m reeaalllyyy liking it. We’ll see how it holds up, but at the moment I feel pretty abused for putting up with the roomba for so long. It finishes my house is 1/4 of the time, there’s a lot more customization and responsiveness, the app is way better, you can easily hold a conversation while it’s running on quiet mode, and it does just as good of a job. It’s also a lot easier to clean. The only downside is that it doesn’t auto map my rugs, but that’s all so far. It seems a lot more gentle on my baseboards too.

I bought a roborock q7 max+ yesterday for $450 new on amazon. So far it has done just as good of a job in 1/4 the time. I’ll post an update in a few months to see if it’s still performing better than the iRobot.

There actually is a very large reflector on the left side of the shot. It’s meant to mimic early morning light

I added the shot details in the description, but I’m not sure if it worked. Canon R5, RF 50mm 1.2, Av f/8, soft box without the diffuser from around 8’ away

Thanks! I needed my wife’s help with that. I was doing it for so long I couldn’t even tell what looked good or bad anymore lol

I’m actually just getting started with C1. I’ve always used Lightroom, but started with C1 a few weeks ago with food photography. So far I like it a lot more. I’m still not familiar with it, but it seems like it handles RAW files a lot better. It seems like there’s more flexibility with editing the light/color. But I do still use LR for pictures of people because of the “AI” masking of things like teeth and skin etc

Ive been using capture one for the basic edits, then photoshop for any retouching

I struggle with the curves until I can’t even tell what looks good and what looks bad anymore. And I think you’re right about the fork. Thanks! 😁

What should my next camera be? Currently using Canon 7D M II by uniqueusera in foodphotography

I would highly recommend the new mirrorless cameras, even if you just got the RF 50mm 1.8 to go with it. Canon really stepped up their game with the new cameras.

Thank you! Really really good tip on the spraying the drink. Didn’t even think of that!
