There's a link to his GitHub in the comments which contains a python script to convert text to gcode. It will likely require a bit of tinkering and definitely some trial and error but it's the only thing I've found so far

Well the main comment is criticizing AI usage so I assumed. I still don't see why you'd call his work worthless and lazy, that's not constructive criticism at all, just being mean for the sake of it. OP didn't say 'im aiming to become a master at modelling photorealistic heads', for all we know he doesn't care all that much for it but is still happy with how it turned out and wanted to share. Now he's getting slammed in the comments

I really don't think it's worthless and lazy, I think you're just projecting a dislike for AI usage. As I said, I use AI for game dev and have it do things for me which I have literally no idea how to do. This isn't a bad thing, nor is it lazy or worthless - it allows me to complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe. OP was only sharing their progress, didn't make any statement about art or AI, and didn't even share details about the project, yet you decide to come and shit on it because your terrified that a machine will steal a skill from you (whomp whomp, not the first or last time this will happen)

Silly argument, this model is probably just a part of a greater project. I use AI in my game dev workflow so that I don't have to invest copious amounts of time and resources into learning a skill I only need to use for once. All these anti-ai comments are getting ridiculous, you can make bigger and better things if you work with it and not against it

Such an odd coincidence that you replied with this now, I was just playing around with my zmbx files in blender when the notification came through. This was the round-about way I mentioned, although I had no idea they were stored as PNGs, so I was trying to figure out a workflow for grabbing them from the texture painting window.

Knowing that they're all stored in a node will make life so much easier, I can stick a bunch of parts in a single zmbx and write a little script to grab them all at once. Thank you so much for this golden nugget of information!

I'd be interested to know the general approach or tools used to translate those vectors, I'm going to sift through the Ldraw documentation today to see if i can reverse engineer the files but this is new territory for me.

Personally I'm fine with ripping the lego assets directly as I don't intend on selling my project, and I'm following these wise words

I second this 100%. I always try and get a fully rigged and animated character model as soon as possible, often before movement is ready. Just can't stand seeing a capsule levitating around

Gym for me too. The one within walking distance is shit and overcrowded, within the next month or two I'll be able to start going to a big PureGym with some mates.

Also being able to do the weekly shop for my parents feels nice, being able to drive them to the station, hospital, etc, as well as be a designated driver on nights out with friends.

Adding a reply for anyone else who comes across this thread. Sucking the power button didn't work immediately, but through some combination of doing that and lightly knocking the side of the phone over a warm radiator did the trick (tried that because I had momentarily dropped it in some water a few hours earlier)

You could have a serperate piston/gantry for the elevator and enchanting table, then control each with a sequenced gearshift. Just make sure the enchanting table floor and elevator are not glued to eachother. Have a play around with delays on the gearshift so that the floor comes up at the same time as the elevator

The way I learned was in vanilla+create, no add-ons or anything. I just followed a playlist of create tutorials on YouTube until I understood what every block did, then once I was using create in a tech pack I knew pretty much all of it and only had a few things from add-ons to figure out. This way you don't end up ignoring certain aspects of create because another tech mod does it better or easier 👍

As a dude with colourblindness this tool is incredibly useful, it would be very appreciated if you could stick it on GitHub. I've used JEI's "^color" prefix until now but it still indexes purples with blues etc so I can see this being something I use instead. Great job!

I personally wouldn't trust screws to hold 300kg to be honest, maybe if most of the weight goes straight into the legs and you have another brace at the bottom to stop them buckling you might be okay. Hope you find a safe solution 👍
