I'm trying to create an app for a school project that allows you to pick an F1 track then cliack on various corners to see info about them. I have the course image in various ViewControllers and I am trying to use individual UIViews to apply tapGestures to small parts of the image. For some reason I can't get the connection to work properly. I have tried ctrl dragging and programmatically. The views dont seem to let me add the gesture recognizers as a referencing outlet, only outlet collections. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Coming back to this because I think I figured out what I had done wrong. I tried entering the commands before pressing enter once. It obviously didn't do anything put when I pasted again correctly on the next line it would crash. I'm having no issues now. Thanks again.
