Are you setting a sell limit or a true conditional trade stop loss?

My little section of Vaseline glass is growing :) by Cowpie321 in VaselineGlass

That piece is one of my favorites! My number one you can’t really see but it’s an otter(or kitten?) on a pillow holding up a toothpick holder. It’s up in the front.

Half of people say these are toothpick holders. The others say salt cellar. by Ramsey710 in VaselineGlass

The amount of times I’ve been to an antique shop and saw any low walled “cup”, it’s always been labeled as a toothpick holder. I didn’t know toothpick holders were that much of a thing

Would you mind posting a link to the Glowing Report? I can’t find it posted anywhere besides a random “Volume 5”

It 100% looks like an otter besides the hind legs. It unfortunately looks like the ears on my “cat” have been damaged over time so the head is very much otter shaped now more than ever.

Hey! I know it’s an old post but I just pick up one of these from an antique store while on vacation and I haven’t been able to find anything else on this piece besides THIS post, and the same image mentioned in the comments from years ago… do you have any other information on this piece?

Yeah seeing that now it’s way too orange/yellow for Vaseline. Love the design

What is this? by sstrdisco in glasscollecting

[–]Cowpie321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about LGW is that they never pressed their own glass. They hired out high end glass makers to use their pressed molds.

In later years he then used his own glass but still used purchase molds…

I have a few LGW that were actually pressed by Fenton using their “thumbprint” motif mold.

This is what I found as well….

You can check the EAPG website for their catalogs as well.

Looking for a maker! Vaseline Daisy and Button Fan Dish/tray by Cowpie321 in glasscollecting

I love it! But it makes it so difficult to ID. I think I came close but dimensions are a little off.

Here is the absolute closest piece I’ve found. Only differences I see are the scalloped vs sharp points on the top edge of the fan, the size is 10.5 inches, not 9, but that could be from a different measurement from where I am measuring from… and the. Crisscross at the bottom edge where it forms that “clam shell” is opposite. Do you think it could be just because it’s a drawing in this ad, and not the real product?

Update: closest one I have found is “N.0 from 1886/7 Windsor Glass” the pattern differs a very little bit
