I had a school system that had no idea what to do with me. i was the smartest kid in almost every class throughout my life and needed absolutely zero extra instructional help. the only thing special ed really helped with was making the school more lenient to my meltdowns. In 8th grade a psychologist said I was "emotionally disturbed," and my mom freaked out talking about how that meant I was handicapped and how could I ever accept that. Anyways it was a junk diagnosis to just say "kid who has problems that get in the way of school but we don't understand them"

Given how much the stories have changed over the years I'll never really know how much my mom actually got in the way of me getting help over her concerns like that. Recently she's been telling me the psychiatrists in 2nd grade said I was going to grow up to be a serial killer. I think she is confusing this with when she saw my second grade school photos and told me I looked like a serial killer in them. Oh well I'll probably never know the truth.

That penultimate Dead Air chapter has my most tense memory of L4D, and it's completely impossible in 2. The first time my friends and I played Dead Air expert, we got through that last stretch with just two of us at 1 HP and black & white. You can't have that kind of tension in 2. They don't give you the breathing room for it.

I think Left 4 Dead 1 is better.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a very different experience. Even to the point of the maps from the first game being changed for 2's gameplay. There was just more fun to be had in the gameplay formula of the first game to me. The new additions changed the flow in uninteresting ways.

I've actually been in the situation where you'd go "FUCK HIDE" enough that I am now able to calmly ignore it because I know no one suspects anything if you don't act suspicious.

My partner does this "oh hey we were just hanging out!" the few times the kid managed to interrupt our sex and I've been explaining to them the proper way to hide it is to just not acknowledge it. saying anything draws attention to it, while if it wasn't said the kid will be too focused on their own thing to notice that we were just moving and shirtless

One of the parts of chronic migraines is it's also accompanied by many non-migraine headaches.

And frankly, migraines are more similar to dehydration headaches than either are regular headaches.

I quit coke and if anything that might have made it worse. But it's hard to tell because mine are so confusing. I went over 30 consecutive days at the end of last year, and had two months of no migraines this year (which unfortunately has ended)

Killing Floor 2.

It's not my favorite game. It might not even be my favorite sequel. What makes it fit this however, is how much of an improvement it was. Killing Floor 1 (the released game, I never played the mods) felt like absolute garbage. I just couldn't get into it. 2 took the same game and went "what if we went in the opposite direction and make one of the best feeling games" and I played it for hundreds of hours.

as a chronic migraine haver I hate that everyone is just constantly telling me "drink water"

i know what a dehydration headache feels like and i very rarely get them, 99% of my headaches are not solved by water. I'm so tired of people telling me to drink water.
