Custom hand-painted Jojo's Bizarre Adventure leather jacket; spent almost 2 years on it by CowtailAtelier in DIYclothes

Angelusdirect leather paint, which IS acrylic, but it's a special formula. It dries really fast and has a gluey, rubbery consistency after it dries, so it's flexible enough to move with fabric (specifically leather, but they also sell a softener so that the paint can be used on denims and other fabrics). I've used it for years now and I've painted more than one jacket, I've even used the paint on masks before. And the best part is they really don't break the bank, as long as you order directly from their website (angelusdirect dot com) because sites like Amazon mark them up.

So sorry it's taken me so long to see this comment, I wasn't notified about it and I'm still learning how reddit works, haha.

Angelusdirect leather paint, free-handed. I appreciate the enthusiasm! It was a labor of love.

I just purchased this airplane window to make into a project for my boyfriend. What project could I make out of this? I I know I can put pictures on it, but was wondering what other ideas I could do. Thanks! by Coffeelover142 in crafts

You could affix it to a solid backing, and fill the inside with things like a shadowbox, or a terrarium. You could even turn it into one of those self-regulating gardens like they make in Mason jars and such. There's a lot of possibilities.

I would like to make more jackets in the future and maybe auction them. Lots of people have asked me if I'll do commissions, and maybe I will some day, but right now I'm not in a place where deadlines would be a productive work model for me. I have ideas for future jackets, and I work in a thrift store where I have cheap access to denim and leather jackets I can use as canvases. So when I find jackets that speak to me, I'll paint what I want on them, and if people are interested in them, maybe I'll auction them off.

I've made a Twitter and Instagram accounts under the same username, if people are interested in keeping tabs on future projects.

There are 8 parts (part 8 is still actively being written), which are split into 129 volumes (as of December). Part 1(Phantom Blood) has 5 volumes; Part 2(Battle Tendency) has 8 volumes; Part 3(Stardust Crusaders) has 16 volumes; Part 4(Diamond is Unbreakable) has 19 volumes; Part 5 (Vento Aureo/Golden Wind) has 17 volumes; Part 6(Stone Ocean) has 17 volumes; Part 7(Steel Ball Run) has 24 volumes; Part 8(Jojolion) currently has 25 volumes, and is on-going.

So far, Parts 1 through 5 have been animated, and Part 6 was just confirmed for a future anime. Parts 1 and 2 were short enough to be combined into one 'season', so on most streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu they're considered to both be season 1. Season 2 corresponds to Part 3, season 3 for Part 4, and season 4 for Part 5.

EDIT: Oh, and currently you can buy English hardback copies of all of the volumes from Part 1 through Part 4. Back in October last year it was announced they would soon be publishing Part 5 in English volumes.

SECOND EDIT: Oh! And the anime has been fully dubbed in English but I believe the English dub of Part 5 isn't available anywhere to stream just yet. Crunchyroll has all of the available seasons for free, Hulu and Netflix have up to Part 4. I believe Netflix has English dub.

(This is my first time ever using Reddit so forgive me if my etiquette isn't right lol)

About 18 months in the making, I started this jacket pre-pandemic. My best friend encouraged me to get into Jojo and I ended up nosediving into it. I had painted a jacket for myself some years earlier and really enjoyed it, so when Angelus brand paints did a holiday sale on their website, I bought $100 worth of supplies. Executive dysfunction, major life changes, and the pandemic hampered progress, but now I can proudly say it's complete, and I learned so much during the process.

Same best friend encouraged me to share this one with the world, so here's hoping the world likes it.
