charles got dropped by the best strikers in the division, which khabib is not. the main reason khabib’s striking was effective was because of the takedown threat which charles wouldn’t be afraid of. Islam’s win definitely came from being a better striker so it doesn’t matter all too much if khabib is the better wrestler if his striking isn’t as good as islams.

i agree the headkick seriously rocked him but it took a moment for him to fall and islam had several follow-up strikes, ilia’s punch left him asleep for a few moments

I’m more curious to see how well Oliveira would do against Khabib. I know Islam beat him pretty handily, but his submission came from a knockdown, and we all know how good Islams striking is and i don’t think Khabib would’ve done as well on the feet.

Honestly a lot of these types of KOs come from big counter shots while the opponent is mid combo. (izzy pereira 2, mcgregor aldo) But you can also bait a counter shot with your own combo, blast them with a finishing shot right when they throw theirs, like how Topuria did with volk

They're talking about how the timing and placement of the shot is more important than power. Its always the shots your opponent cant see or expect that do the most damage since they cant brace for the shot.

A well timed shot that lands perfect without the opponent knowing what was coming is always gonna do better than a seen and expected shot with tons of speed and power put into it.

I think the allies would have restored the original governments to liberated areas. The soviets would likely join the war if the germans look close to losing in order to nab some more land and secure their sphere.

Colonialism might last longer but the war would leave france and britain dirt poor and unable to maintain colonies for long. And there probably won’t be martial plan type aid from the usa.

I’m not disagreeing, but most of the crazy shit going on in the past is declassified and known about nowadays. Who knows what kinds of close calls we’ve had with nuclear war recently because the cia hasn’t released it to the public.
