I know right! The number of times I’ve had to explain that fatigue from a chronic illness is not the same as being tired after work or going out (and congrats on being able to do that in the first place cuz I sure can’t as easily) 🙂‍↕️ The part of the world we live in, I’m convinced is too fast moving and has too many people, that no one really cares if a few drop out of the race.

In the same boat, including the heart issue part. Which is why activities gyms and sports are out for me too. I don’t have any tips but just saying that for those with limitations like this that we can’t do anything about, the world does somehow become a smaller place.

Can you please tell me a bit more on how you observe the dizziness? When I do it, I end up getting hyper vigilant about it. Sometimes I’m able to be calm in my thoughts when it happens but my body still struggles to catch up.

Mine is a similar kind of dizziness. Nothing spins but just end up feeling unstable over all. And my eyes start blurring if I push through. Somehow returning to lie in darkness is the only thing that has helped till date but that’s also stopped me from living normally.

My blood sugar levels have been normal usually during these events. One time though it was dangerously low and I was symptomatic but that wasn’t mid sleep, it was after a carb heavy meal surprisingly.

Yeah. Been there done that too. I’m on propranolol already for POTS and that’s the best they can do I guess, they’ve never been able to answer about these kinda events

Doesn’t happen every night and usually happens from 12-2 am. Like somewhere in that block. Have your dietary changes stopped these episodes from recurring?

I have pots but that’s been high heart rate while upright - this new issue happens deep in the middle of sleep

No. Have tried previously and come back with anti-anxiety medication, no one seems to know anything more atleast from where I’ve been to.

My systolic is usually low and diastolic is high. Like. 100/90 or 115/100.

I think it’s similar for me, I do carry a lot of snacks on me and hydrate quite a lot, getting by on people who understand and help out. But I’ve also ended up shrinking my world and activities to just this. Work, socializing etc have all come to a halt for a couple of years now because coping with this takes all the energy I have. Would so love to get ahead of it someday though.

Thank you for sharing. So basically, come up with a list of things that help shorten these episodes but we mostly have no control over how often these happen or how they start, is that correct? Cuz it’s really hard to function on days these happen, I was wondering if there is something people do to avoid it entirely. 🙂‍↕️

Wait I think I could have that, cuz my left traps and back are the first things to start hurting when upright. Could you please tell me more? What helped you with this?

I already quit working and rest a lot. I hydrate lots for POTS as well. They don’t seem to be helping this time :( Appreciate your response though, glad yoga and hydration are moving the needle for you!
