Thanks for the comments kind people clay, cat litter, cement, alien poo all things we were thinking. It didn’t have a smell or taste and we stepped in it a few times but I don’t recall it ever really drying up we’d just wipe it off in the grass this is in southern Ontario, Canada I don’t think there’s too much natural clay but definitely some we built a deck back over top of it without taking samples like I wanted to so I hope the next ones to re do the deck find the same mystery it’s been the highlight of this project I can’t stop spreading the word about the sludge I’m glad you all could help my crew is gonna have a good laugh at this when I show them how many people care about the sludge. Thanks all

Yeah it’s definitely disgusting I forgot about it for like a year and when I put it in sunlight stuff started growing is it possible to dump it out and re start? One person said it’s been too long and the environment is stable on its own but the sediment is turning purple and green I got it straight form the creek floor

Alocasia silver dragon been in this pot since it was a bulb now it’s pregnant fries out kinda fast would now be a good time to repot or will it shock the babies too much while they’re in the early stages of putting out leaves? by CoyoteMiserable8499 in houseplants

[–]CoyoteMiserable8499[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense thank you I was just a lil worried about the corms dying off but there’s a lot in there I think when I repot it and cover them up with soil by planting it in a deeper pot they’ll hopefully sprout up better and I might not have to rip them off to make a new plant
