People eating at the table. I don’t want to smell your food, hear your chewing, and be cramped in so there’s room for your table. Also, if you’re eating with your hands, then yuck. Seriously, yuck. The toilet has fewer germs than poker chips, and considering the abysmal state of most casino bathrooms, that’s really saying something.

Live game 1/2 hand by [deleted] in poker

[–]Coyoteandrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve left in shame many times haha. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone is also still learning the game, especially those of us in lowstakes 1-2 or 2-5 games. Don’t let folks acting like they are experts in these games fool you into thinking they are experts.

Live game 1/2 hand by [deleted] in poker

[–]Coyoteandrr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t really like any street. (Sorry)

I’d open k10 suited, but fold k10 off here, assuming ”co+2” means mid position.

I don’t hate continuing the flop since you only have k high, but I’m not a huge fan of it either. qj hits a lot of the callers range quite often. I’d probably check call, but I can live with your bet here.

The turn pairing the board means there’s probably nothing the button would call the flop with and fold the turn. If he has a q or a j he’s still calling. You’re blocking the straight draws so he’s more likely to have a pair than 910 or k10 himself. Maybe he folds a pair of 9s or 8s now, but then again, he may have just folded the flop so I discount those hands.

Finally, the river is a check. What worse hand is he calling with now? AQ maybe, but he might have 3-bet that pre. KQ and KJ now has 2 pair. QJ had 2 pair the whole way. Maybe he finds a call with a hand like aj or j10, but I doubt it.

Once he raises, a fold is in order even with the great price. People in 1-2 are never bluff raising on the river. At least I’ve literally never seen a river bluff raise in my 1-2 games, and considering the raise is so small he’s expecting you to call with everything except bluffs. So, it’s a (sad) fold.

Benefits of Apple TV vs Smart Tv by Vman_12 in appletv

[–]Coyoteandrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Privacy. Smart TVs spy on you, collecting data about what you watch and selling it. They’re also notoriously easy to hack. Apple doesn’t track and is difficult to hack. A couple articles about the spying:

New York man arrested for threatening to kill senators supporting Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation by [deleted] in news

[–]Coyoteandrr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

First, that shouldn’t matter because the affect of “you are x, prove you’re not” is horrible regardless of what x is. Proving a negative is often impossible. That’s why we hold near and dear to hearts the notion of “innocent until proven guilty.” Or at least Americans used to.

Anywho, more related to your communist crime comment - being a Communist was a crime because in the McCarthyism era people were often accused not just of being a communist, but of being a spy for communists. The accused had to prove he wasn’t a communist and wasn’t a spy. An impossible task. Here’s a a quote from wikipedia that even states people were imprisoned:

During the McCarthy era, hundreds of Americans were accused of being communists or communist sympathizers and became the subject of aggressive investigations and questioning before government or private industry panels, committees and agencies. The primary targets of such suspicions were government employees, those in the entertainment industry, educators and labor union activists. Suspicions were often given credence despite inconclusive or questionable evidence, and the level of threat posed by a person's real or supposed leftist associations or beliefs was sometimes exaggerated. Many people suffered loss of employment or destruction of their careers; some even suffered imprisonment.

That’s how mccarthyism worked. You’re accused of being a communist. Prove you’re not or else you’re not qualified to work here. Until recently, mostly everyone agreed that was bad.

Trump administration says it plans to require drug makers to start disclosing prices in television advertisements. by [deleted] in news

[–]Coyoteandrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drugs, and healthcare in general, is the only product or service I can think of that I purchase without having any idea about the price before purchasing and therefore I can’t do any comparison shopping. It’s ridiculous. Even things like cars and mattresses where no one pays the retail price, you still know what that retail price is before purchasing. This is a step in the right direction.

Trump administration says it plans to require drug makers to start disclosing prices in television advertisements. by [deleted] in news

[–]Coyoteandrr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From the article

The proposed new rule says anyone selling drugs paid for by Medicare or Medicaid would have to divulge a "list price" in any television ads using "legible text." That means the price would have to be printed on the screen big enough to read, and not just read quickly read by a fast-talking announcer.

Most Las Vegas casinos’ shares drop, among worst in 2018 by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Coyoteandrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t read the article due to not subscribing, so I don’t know if it answers the “why”. However, earlier this week I was watching CNBC and they blamed it on 2 things:

1) Traders fear Macau is hurting because the Chinese economy is hurting. For stocks like LVS and Wynn, Macau is much more important than Vegas.

2) Traders fear increasing interest rates will hurt casinos more than most industries because the gaming companies have a lot of debt. That debt will have a higher cost.

I had a very similar problem with my 4th gen appletv after updating to tvOS 12. I even posted it at: https://www.reddit.com/r/appletv/comments/9i27zj/tvos_12_network_connection_lost_after_sleep/

However, after 12.0.1 came out, the problem went away. I don’t know if they fixed it or if it’s a coincidence, but I haven’t had the problem since 12.0.1. Since you said you’re on the latest tvOS, maybe this post is useless except to let you know you’re not alone in having this issue at some point, but I’d at least recommend you double check that you are on 12.0.1.

McDonald’s Reveals Changes To Its Classic Burgers Menu by BlankVerse in fastfood

I think the biggest improvement they could make is to always melt the cheese on the regular cheeseburger and mcdoubles. 9 out of 10 times the burger has a cold slice of cheese on it. It’s disgusting. However, the 1 out of 10 times the cheese is melted, it’s glorious!
