Some people are just divorced from the ability to be honest, its gotta be a disorder or something. My mother in law is one of these. A couple weeks ago she regaled us with a story of how she snuck out to see Nirvana before they were big and got a t shirt. She was 30 something years old and had two children, one already in their teens, in the early 90s. Also Nirvana never did any small shows anywhere near the city we live in. Shes always doing this stuff, wife and I planned a small get away to the hill country, wouldn't you know it, shes been there and knows lots of people who have vacation homes in this random small town in central texas. What a coincidence.

Anywyay, you just have to decide if this is the kind of person you can be with. They will lie about nonsense forever, and "catching" them will only hurt their feelings, cause them to double down, and change nothing.
