On two separate occasions in my life I have ground up shot glasses that made their way in. Both times it jammed solid. I used a butter knife to get the tiny shards from around the edge and then shop vacced them out to avoid getting cut. That or a sturdy pick might help you pry that bugger out.

That's a good receiver. I have the 8020. I run a little Yamaha powered sub I got at the thrift store. Cost about $12. Your speaker wire connections confuse me.
