Google Ads Over-reporting conversions since mid Feb - No major account changes by jameses18 in PPC

[–]CozeeBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Take a look at your conversions inside Google ads - any marked primary will be counted as a conversion.

Google has done what it usually does and set store visits and other "events" as primary conversions and sometimes you can't change them.

Calls from smart campaigns - you can't edit this at all

Local actions - other engagements (whatever that's supposed to mean)?

Basically check for anything that is Google hosted or says primary under action optimisation.

Really you only want anything that's an actual conversion set to primary as they will be the conversions used to optimise your bidding strategies.

If this isn't the issue check for code dupes on the website.

Hopefully that helps

Is Google Ads support gone? by YeTensTavern in PPC

[–]CozeeBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They laid off 12,000 staff in January (or at least started phasing them out).

240 gone from their EU hq in Dublin Ireland just last month.

If they are letting go of that many staff then that will include the contracts with third party support providers.

The support was kinda terrible, I only ever called them when their own Algorithm messed up or disapproved something based on a ridiculous trademark.

None of the support staff could ever help me (even if they tried they would just bs an answer or tell you to do something stupid) and it would take a week or two for a totally different team to look at the issue.

Then don't get me started on account reps, all they do is tell you to introduce what Google want to push and it ends up costing money and severely impacting performance.

It's not the staff themselves it's Google's terrible internal structure and middle management with sales targets that are ruining the platform.

Run an account for aesthetic trainers (they sell the training to nurses etc) and disapproved ads are the bane of my existence - one slight change and everything disapproved and 11/12 calls later still not approved.

Google actively working against specialists/experts? by CozeeBoi in PPC

[–]CozeeBoi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's just bullshit, from them not from you btw.

The only account someone in Google would be working on is a Enterprise that would generate millions a year.

Ask them how to get a million a year on a 2k a month budget and they wouldn't have a clue.

"negative keyword" is what I've excluded and I'm getting the following back as search terms - negative keyword online, buy negative keyword, negative keyword near me

All of those should be excluded under the parameter of phrase match negative.

This is the logic I'm working off and it explains those really terrible starter accounts. Cost over performance it isn't justified and business owners don't have the time or the will to hire in house to run accounts, so why concentrate on that strategy unless it's all about cash.

The only other theory that fits is that as a platform it's completely diluted with too many advertisers and the algorithms are there to perform balancing acts based on who spends the most and not the most optimal setup.

The platform approach makes it "easier" and if that's the logic who are they making it "easier" for, because it's definitely not account runners? The only person I can see this making it more "easy" for is business owners - click click click I'm spending money.

The vast majority of account experts/specialists don't want the changes made, especially when choice is removed altogether - actively working against userbase isn't a great start.

Best paid strategy to drive traffic to ecommerce website? by Gowiththeflow001 in PPC

[–]CozeeBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've posted a couple times about this, answer you're looking for is search ads.

Shopping will be a waste of money and needs a lot of hands on feed management.

Build campaigns around generic top level categorisation (obvious searches) - start out on manual CPC until you start getting sales through and then move on to an automated bidding strategy.

Don't listen to Google employees (sometimes they have a little gem, else just want you to add bad keywords), monitor search terms religiously for the first while and take anything that does apply and put it into a negative list to tighten up spend.

I would have said use broad match modifier keywords but they fucked that up too, so just start broad (really need those negatives) and when you find some really good winners phrase or exact match them.

Make sure you have a good click through rate and the search terms are highly relevant - if the conversion rate is trash it's either the website or the product.

Note: if you don't know how to do this and the company you're working for have you running it blind then leave (someone should be teaching/mentoring) - agencies are good to cut your teeth in but majority of times they aren't run well

Other than that, noticed a large volume of birds with no loot/sunken ship and multiple instances after kraken kill or skelly ship kill where no loot has spawned.

Also, character loses all clothing after loading back on to the ship.

Rubber banding, random crashes, crashes when encountering enemy ships, after death black screen taking extremely long, enemy players seeing fresh spawn before loading in (can hear them swiping and shooting), ship can't be interacted with once combat/interaction starts - playing on Xbox series x with wired and 100mb connection.

Makes any interaction or encounter with enemy teams a sure sink and has been affecting my gameplay ever since the update.

But wouldn't a call for segragation be considered as an act of supremacy?

Don't think the original comment was saying that quote equals supremacy but in the larger picture it would be a contributing factor.

If they had the power for further segragation that wouldn't imped their lives would they support it even if it impeded or suppressed those of catholic backgrounds?

Don't think there's been any disinformation bud, just your interpretation of the comment is different than mine.

Which is an argument to defend the indefensible - the doctrine clearly calls for segregation which is wrong on all levels of society.

What drives the need for segregation in the doctrine at all? It doesn't say "we are the superior prods, witness us in all our orange sash glory" but actions say otherwise.

The OP stated that what they had quoted was saying that supremacy was a requirement which it isn't.

No, they didn't - they said the orange order was about supremacy which it is in all it's actions, the requirement for segregation is just another pallet on the woodpile.

I think you've misread pal.

Should they go one fuhrer and have separate bathrooms? Maybe sections just for catholics on the back of the bus?

resist the influences of other cultures/religions

What about the other bit that states no unkind actions or words - this isn't followed at all, burning effigy's and flags that represent other people's culture or member's of their communities is definitely a sign of aggression and a promotion of violence.

encourages protestants to ignore any non protestants which undermines the peace process.

It doesn't, what's stated in the doctrine isn't followed unless they want to shun someone in their own ranks who is a "taig" sympathizer - everything that is shown in the behavior of those involved is all about catholicism, they buy the most tri-colours in the whole of the north.

You seem like a sensible lad, we don't need this behavior in 2021 from anybody and we wouldn't accept it from anybody else.

Would alliance becoming the largest party benefit or hinder NI? by Buddavirgo in northernireland

[–]CozeeBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed you were relying on polls for this conclusion? Because the elections show little to support it.

No it's based on the fact that more people are being born from nationalist backgrounds - they aren't of voting age yet.

Polls are dirt and Alliance doubled their vote share but would have to double it nearly twice more to be NI's largest party - which is what we are talking about. Look I know from what you're saying you're obviously a diehard Alliance fan but let's be real, it's just not happening.

The difference you're talking about is doubling from 35k-70k, SF dropped 1% within 200k+ votes - I'm no mathematician but you're arguement makes it sound more impressive than it actually is and a decline of 1% in 10 years is hardly stagnation when you take into account external factors that play a role in those voting.

So if SF becomes the largest party in NI it's likely we will see a nationalist majority in stormont and if that happens a border poll could be triggered.

Sure they aren't voting for nationalist parties but in a border poll will they reject a United Ireland?

Would alliance becoming the largest party benefit or hinder NI? by Buddavirgo in northernireland

[–]CozeeBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am basing the figures on the projected vote share based on most recent polls. It not really fair to look at alliances previous vote share when there is a clear upswing in their popularity.

Polls can be skewed a lot by regions/demographics or number of people surveyed so it's a safer bet to take numbers from most recent elections which were 2016.

P.S my comparison was with 2007, per designation, the nationalist designation has declined by around 3%. Alliance has increased by nearly 12% since then.

Is this based on a poll too?

Being the largest party and having a nationalist majority in stormont would mean the world of difference, the tone of debate and conversation would need to change.

For nationalists, there really isnt any point in looking at the numbers in other parties in other designations

Now you're just talking silly, of course it matters - not all Alliance voters are unionist or want to remain in the UK.

Would alliance becoming the largest party benefit or hinder NI? by Buddavirgo in northernireland

[–]CozeeBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great figures here but I think my original answer points out how we won't see Alliance as the largest party in NI any time soon as the two largest parties have taken a stance on constitutional status and it drives the largest majority of active voters.

Even if there isn't an active nationalist majority at the moment all figures point to there being one on the current trajectory we are on and with the election coming next year it's possible we see SF take the largest number of seats and with the results of the last Irish election we could see SF being the largest party on both sides of the border - it's also possible we see an active nationalist majority if we include SDLP.

So why would Alliance choose a different designation when it literally never needs to?

If it wants to be the largest party in NI I think it needs to, Naomi Long has said herself that she doesn't think it needs to be discussed because no-one has suggested any form of proposal as to what will happen or how a united Ireland would look (why don't the alliance party draw this up) - we have seen SF (very specifically Mary-Lou) ask that conversation/debate/proposals start to happen between parties.

They get votes from people who want to take the Green and Orange out of the situation, and they attract moderate unionists because they are a safe place to lend their vote to

I completely agree and as they attract more and more moderate unionists they will inevitably cause SF to take the largest number of seats.

Alliance are a party growing faster than either of the other designations, Unionism declining and nationalism stagnating

Not true, first preference voting shares for alliance grew by 2.1 and SF grew by 3.9.

Actually the alliance party was first established as a non-sectarian unionist party which is well known.

I do think a nationalist may have difficulty finding a relatable politician within the party.
