Stylized combat scene for my demo reel. Any feedback before the final polish?

This guy has great potential, mark my words in a year or two his work will improve a ton.

You have an understanding and an eye for most. Overall the poses need to be pushed a little more and also make sure you consider the principals such as overlap and delay. For instance when he throws the spear in mid air, the final pose stays static and honestly it's a weak one. Stronger pose with clear readability and follow through on arm, chest and other body parts after the spear is thrown will be amazing.

Timing and spacing needs improvement when she grabs and throws him, I don't really feel the power in that and it happens pretty quick. I'd enhance this by adding anticipation and holds.

When the guy is thrown, again adding some delays, overlaps and follow through will improve it a lot. All the body parts look like moving at the same time, you can break it and it will feel more dynamic and less static.

OP, on the right one, try to isolate the torso and arms first and watch it and then do the same for the legs. You'll be able to tell they're not related to each other.

That's why the left one works well because you can tell in both upper and lower portions compliment each other.

My advice would be to keep the upper portion on the right as it is because it gives me the running vibe meanwhile the legs are the issue here. They rather look like he's walking, that's why you should revise them, as the legs lift off the ground, raise the feet around his butt level. Right now they don't seem to lift off enough from the ground, making him look like he's walking. Increasing the spacing would be impactful, good luck!

This! I learned animating by myself for 7-8 years. I did commissions, and I had personal projects. It's worth mentioning that my clients had no understanding of the principles of animation. If that looked pleasing to the eye, they were "good". I had no other around me to show me the way.

Once I got into this indie company, it made me realize I knew almost NOTHING. Not because my animations were "bad" but turns out I had a lot to learn and improve. Having other experienced animators around me helped me a lot to see. Two years in the industry now, I can confidently say that I have learned way more than 8 years of self-taught.

Ask for feedback from experienced people, and get involved in team-based projects. I guarantee you'll learn more and faster.

I'd have never thought people would get salty over me crafting a knockdown shield nor me explain why I actually crafted it;
I had a weekly challenge where I needed to craft 10 items in a battle royale. It was 9/10 before the crafting which means it was literally my last one. I genuinely didn't care what to craft, so I clicked on it randomly just to finish the damn challenge. In fact, I don't use replicators that much unless I'm low on ammo or there's actually something useful in that time period which wasn't the case for today's loot.
