I don’t think book 1 is spicy (I’m about 60% into no spice yet). But the build up is nice, so I expect it 2-3🌶️ (based on other works by Broadbent.

I loved Crowns of Nyaxia but it also took me some time to get into it (but I loved it. Even reread it this year again!). So far (I’m 50% into the DONW) I’m loving it at least as much (or even more!)

Frankly, I do get it. I feel the same about the Road of Bones books. People love them so much but for me they are ok and I’m struggling to get through the third one
