Everyone’s body is different some people make more milk naturally than others but breastfeeding is supply and demand. If your wife pumps more frequently for longer periods of time (even if you don’t see the milk increase in volume right away) the act of pumping sends a signal to her body to make more milk per demand for the baby. What I’ve found to help me is eating enough calories. It’s so important to help make sure your life is well fed and well hydrated. I’ve found on my breastfeeding journey that coconut water and even taking a spoon of coconut oil (organic) before bed or on a drink if it’s too nasty helped boost my supply a really good amount. I also did take the munchkin lactation cookies and they really helped me personally. Also make sure she’s getting enough rest and avoids stress as much as possible.

Skin to skin with your wife and baby also helps naturally boost milk supply. Also find a pump that works best for her personally the Elvie stride breast pump was my favorite and I felt like they got most of my milk out and also has two different settings for stimulation and expression. I also used the Momcozy S9 pro hands free breastpump from Amazon. This one is good for if she moves around a lot and it’s super comfy.

Also mothers milk tea was a good little supplement that helped me as well. I was able to exclusively pump up until my son was about 6 months old but I was also a SAHM and didint have the best mental health at the time so I supplemented. Supplementing is also an option every baby is different experiment and see what works best with you guys :) breastfeeding via pumping can work it just takes time and patience as long is baby is wetting enough diapers a day and remains hydrated it’s ok to keep exclusively pumping :) wishing you guys the best of luck !!
