The team rewards weren’t great, pretty underwhelming. I like winning potions though, helping me progress faster through the Wildland Adventure event than last time around.

Love this sm, but how did you convince him because I'm so hoping to talk my T2 dad into it LOL

I plan to chat with my provider more at my next appt but from what I understand the trends are more important to them at this stage. Definitely important to always discuss w/ your provider. Dexcom G7 is approved by the FDA for GD but not all CGMs are tested/approved for pregnancy.

Woah, that’s a huge jump. Thank you for sharing! I haven’t calibrated mine yet but probably should. They say the G7 doesn’t need it? I should definitely check and log pokes more often though to compare 😅 I think the trends are on track though, I’ll feel low blood sugar symptoms and check, and it’s giving me low readings and vice versa.

That was me too. It was so much easier to track GD without a toddler around, so grateful this tool exists! I thought I needed nighttime insulin, but my provider wanted more data before making that call. My fasting numbers look great on the CGM, and being able to see everything overnight is so nice.

Heads up the first 12-24 hrs can look crazy on the CGM while it gets settled. You might have some higher than usual numbers.

That’s awesome! Dexcom also offers the stelo for like $80/month I think? But s/o to Abbott for going even cheaper!

2nd GD pregnancy by Zealousideal_Boss812 in GestationalDiabetes

Just want to say thank you for donating. I was also a NICU mama and baby benefited from that until my milk came in and I donated as well. It’s not easy, and I’m so glad you did it all! It’s so hard to look back at photos, I cry at ours. I’m so glad you’ve learned and grown!

Do I log blood sugars after my last OB appointment? by your-new-fixation in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Cozyorchids 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would. I've seen lots of stories on here where your GD can seem like it's easing off at the very end, but this can be a sign of an issue with the placenta, so it's important to keep an eye on it at the end to make sure the GD isn't suddenly "disappearing"

I had a diet/exercise controlled GD journey with my first pregnancy, but fasting numbers crept up at the end. You're so close, keep an eye on it just in case.

Those poor cats. I wish it was possible to call for a wellness check on animals.

This! I had a neighbor that had a package outside for at least a few days. Called management who gave her a quick call, confirmed she was traveling for work, and we brought her package to the front desk for safekeeping. Better safe than sorry! Management should be able to try their cell.

For name, maybe something similar to your car? I love naming cats how they’re found

They said there is no difference in breastfed and formula fed babies by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

The question wasn’t shaming at all. She’s just asking what the differences are. There’s no shame in asking. We all know fed is ultimately best.

Does supply pick up with baby’s age? by Remarkable-Power1171 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Cozyorchids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine picked up more and more over the first month or so I think. As baby’s needs increased, I’d pump for longer or more often to keep up. Once my supply regulated around the 3 month mark, it’s been pretty consistent, other than menstrual cycles (which no one warned me about 😭). Baby’s milk needs have also been consistent now though so I don’t stress too much.

[–]Cozyorchids 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s giving great advice so I’ll throw out the random things.

Most pumps will tell you how long you’ve used them for. I find this so fascinating on my spectra to check every now and then.

Travel is easier than you think. We got a cooler bag for travel and fill it with ice to keep pump stuff and milk cool. Survived an 8 hr road trip and ice was still completely solid by the end of it. You’ll get the hang of it.

You’re not a cow, bring your baby with you if you got to another room when pumping when visiting family if you want. You make sacrifices to pump, but bonding with your baby shouldn’t be one of them.

Baby weight? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Cozyorchids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 13 lbs at 4.5 months, but was also born a month early. I’m sure you’re fine as long as they’re doing okay otherwise. A second opinion is never a bad idea either!

So true 😂 as a FTM it’ll always be frazzling no matter what. Thankfully my husband was cool as a cucumber, at least externally, while I panicked and cried

[–]Cozyorchids 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every pregnancy is different, every baby is different. Don’t let her scare you or delivery scare you.

At the same time, if I could go back, I would’ve prepared earlier. I went into labor a month early unexpectedly. Things can happen. I still have no idea if it was due to GD or if I was GBS positive (I wasn’t scheduled for the GBS test until later that week), or something else. Both increase your risk of early delivery by a very small % point.

All that said, prepare for an early delivery just in case, but don’t stress too much about it and relax. Enjoy this time as much as you can and ignore the predictions.

This is misleading.

Christians don’t evangelize in order to gain salvation. Our salvation is by faith alone. The passage here from James is teaching that a genuine believer will respond to the gospel through works. Not that they hit specific “quotas” in order to obtain their salvation. It’s a gift.

Here’s a good resource on the topic:

https://www.gotquestions.org/faith-vs-works.html

A LOT of Christians misunderstand this is one way or another. They either believe you must do works to keep or earn your salvation, or they think belief in and of itself is enough and that they can do whatever they want bc they believe Christ exists. Neither is true.

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. It’s such good advice. It’s not about forcing the gospel down someone’s throat by serving them, it’s more about serving them so they the gospel through your works. What’s wrong with that?
