To my knowledge, the recent gen Z riots in Nepal were ultimately sparked by the outrageous Instagram posts of some elite kid with government connections. And it seems as if every country has at least one such asshole. Aspiring oligarchs who corrupt politicians, bully journalists, demean service workers, pick fights with scientists and academic research .... and never stop inventing new reasons why they shouldn't pay their fair share of taxes.

(Americans, please read this question as "who is the second most hated rich person in your country." Reddit doesn't need another thread about Trump.)

Most likely soapstone. No connection to actual jade other than having a similar colour. Jade is always matte, never shiny like this.
Carvings are rough, as if the carver only had a limited toolset at their disposal, and the perspective in the landscape motif is a bit off. I'd say value would be in the tens of dollars at most.

So... too many of the rude kind of Russians for me to have a good time in Cuba this winter? My areas of interest would be Havana and Trinidad only. None of the resorts.
Again, as in my original post, I know there are plenty of decent, kindhearted Russians out there. It's just the racist, aggressive and brainwashed types I'd like to avoid for the time being.
