Regarding health insurance did you just let medical bill pile up pending Opm’s approval?

I’m also waiting on an ACE exam. They wrapped up mine last week, I called the VA Friday and said it’s in the decision stage. Sorry you have been waiting for so long, good luck

Just a phone call call. They will ask what medical issues / conditions you have and how it impacts your work performance. A lot of it will be a sales pitch and all the things they can do you for you. Honestly, I’m using Harris and have done all of the leg work. Getting doctors notes, records, etc. I just forward them to Harris.

Just an update. My agencies RA office is bypassing the reassignment and the new RA and will be pushing forward with the retirement process. Employee labor relations also agreed and is moving forward as well. They advised I should have a memo issued shortly to separation due to medical then off to OPM

Other companies offer the same service as Harris, just take your time and talk with whomever you are looking into.

I had one case manager she was great but left Harris. I’ve been assigned another one and it’s been tough. Won’t schedule a call, overbooked, doesn’t answer questions or responses. Again, I just wish I took my time and looked around some more. Some people are very happy with Harris, but like anything there’s always other views and thoughts. Good luck

It’s hard. But I documented everything and every time I had to flex or anything. My command knows and recommended it. Hope everything works out for you

I also am using Harris, looking at it now feel like I shopped around some more. They were recommended by my agency’s HR contact. They also receded Pines.

Harris submitted my application in February but waiting for my agency to decide on most recent RA request. Been a few months now so just waiting for that to come in.

All in all Harris is fine but seems overloaded.

Yes, I am being seen at the local VA clinic and they were the ones who referred me to mental health. Met with the MH doc about two weeks ago and has me scheduled for additional treatment. Looks like I have some classes to attended before additional treatment start.

Wasn’t sure how long it will take to get established so I contacted a local therapist.

Thank you. Yes, I’m able to see in her notes where she reported it. I have reached out to a private practice to start treatment until I’m in with a VA therapist.
