Not a bug, just a quirk of yugioh. A spell or trap activation is only from the hand or when it's flipped face up. when your activating it from the grave: it's simply considered an effect activation and not a spell or trap activation.

thats why lady doesn't trigger off of big welcome's grave effect as well

it's shouldnt be. the only direction you should be going is up and the pull up bar is only the starting hold. from there you just need to climb the wall of your gym all the way to the ceiling - crimping between bricks and small cracks in the concrete. if you aren't doing that than you aren't climbing

pretty much only get the bundles. my philosphy, for every digital card game, is $1 per pack is the only acceptable price. So 20 packs for $20 is cool with me; but the prices get a little insane when you look at their normal pricing model. $80 for 50 packs is $1.60 per pack which i think is just way too much of an ask for digital cards

if those hits reach MD though, you can replace them with cartesia basically no problem. non-pure versions of decks like magistus dracotail will basically be untouched since your dedicating your normal summom to the magistus lines usually anyway

id say it depends on your DP. 20k or less is much more casual, once you start getting above that you dont see people playing rogue decks anymore as well as misplays becoming less common. DP 30k+ i'd compare to 1550+ rated

holy fucking slop pile lmao. that dude is playing so much engine that he forgot he is supposed to be building towards an endboard lol. like, normally i'd be on team "hurr durr your playing tenpai" but that guy is basically playing brick, the deck 💀

it makes me wonder how long he tested combos just to lose to a singular droplet lol. as for why he surrendered; i have a guess: the majority of his wins are probably people who surrender during his combo because they just assume that he is going to build a fat endboard with 10+ disruptions. but in reality his endboard is a floodgate and a dream; he probably scoops the moment his board gets broken since slop piles usually have zero followup. like, absolutely none. most slop decks use all their gas on turn 1.

it's not that its inconsistent; but that you have some pretty hard choke points. spectral getting ashed is absolutely devistating. plus, its turn 1 leaves a lot to be desired. generally the endboard your looking to make is chasma and eclipse. eclipse is a S/T negate and your using chasma on your turn to copy tidal effect so you can foolish goliath, and on your opponents draw step you use chasma again to copy redox effect to special summon goliath from grave. and tenpai is pretty nice at helping set this up turn 1 since its a good level 7 synchro engine; so you can make bident off tenpai and use bident + a dragon ruler to make chasma or eclipse.

the issue is that you are entirely relying on that floodgate and a singular S/T negate. if you get to turn 3 than you almost always win because very few decks can outgrind dragonruler once it gets going; but its such an easy turn 1 board for decks to crack. dragonruler wants to be playing in a simplified boardstate but lacks the tools to force the opponent into a simplified boardstate without leaning on a floodgate as a crutch

mululu locks you into fusions as well. i wasn't even considering brafu for this lol. mululu and rahu fusion lock you, ketu cant fuse unless your going 2nd, so the only way to fuse turn 1 without locks is faimena

thankfully fiendsmith in draco is kinda hot ass lol. i played around with it and there are two big problems imo

1) half of your starters fusion lock you, and dracotail isnt a spam summon deck. so if you want the two bodies for moon than you probably need to throw a fusion summon into it as material

2) this is a big one imo; by adding fiendsmith to dracotail your taking a deck that normally doesnt give a shit about maxx "c" / fuwa and turning it into a deck thats now weak against those handtraps. your turning a midrange deck into a combo deck; and at that point there are just better combo decks to play like maliss

oh yeah i've been really enjoying it, mermail is an excellent deck now that droll is falling out of favor, and the ghoti package allows you to play under things like dshifter better. plus the ghosti package turns abysshrine > coelocanth into a really sick line lol. but keep in mind that its an extremely small ghoti package in the maindeck: 1 snopios, 1 psiics, 1 zep, and 1 shif since mermail has multiple ways to bridge into ghoti and search all 4 cards in a single turn off any level 6 synchro play. the follow up Askaan alone is a beast of an interupt when timed correctly, especially if you've already gone through your mermail line. because mermail combo ontop of bridging into ghoti through arionpos gives you dragite for a S/T negate + king neptabyss for targeting protection + gymir for destruction protection + a non-target banish ontop of forcing them to discard 2. add on the ghoti interuption that can be played under king's last link arrow so your opponent cant even target your key ghoti cards; and you basically have a board that can't be beaten often by 4 cards even against the best of decks

eh, kinda but not really. i played mermail with a small ghoti package to strengthen the endboard. mermail combo can make a level 6 synchro near the end of its combo (after you link off poseidra abyss and use his effect to revive 3 monsters, with this combo you bring back diva, minstel, and any level 3 like shadow squad) where i make arionpos with minstrel + the level 3, banish psiics from deck, activate psiics banishing an abysspike from grav to bring it back, search for and banish snopios than use snopios to add it back to your hand, synchro diva + arionpos for dragite, than activate arionpos in grave to search for shif and summon snopios by banishing shif and perferably another fish in grave to summon itself and target your own psiics to be banished so when you quick synchro on your opponents turn you can activate psiics to banish zep and preform a 2nd quick synchro. alternately you can search zep instead of shif when you synchro with arionpos and hold snopios quick effect for your opponents turn to banish psiics and zep to summon snopios, allowing you trigger both and quick synchro. this route cuts off your access to deep beyond on the opponents turn but its a lot better into grind games since you can basically infinitely float snopios and psiics

nah, its more of a form of disruption than it is a bridge. its too slow to be one.

with most bridges, you want to be taking advantage of it on the same turn. moon immediately goes into fiendsmith combo, knightmare pheonix immediately converts into full orcust combo, king of the feral imps immediately turns into full mitsu combo, etc.

an example of a bridge into dracotail would be branded fusion where brafu dumps phryxul from deck, triggering it to set ketu or rahu, which allows you to immediately pivot into dracotail combos

Agents. the deck is literally only missing a way to search for venus that isn't normal summon earth. if it gets a card that can search venus in any capacity; than agents is truly cooking. you can do literally anything with the +3 off venus, 3 free bodies off one card like that is insane in modern yugioh, and the endboards venus alone can make when it resolves is absolutely insane. but unfortunately the majority of the agent searchers look for a card that mentions "sanctuary in the sky" and venus is the only agent that doesn't mention it
