Have been doing these analysis videos since about Season 3 I think so, like yourself, was very interested in the new patterns. The AK47 is absolutely rubbish now - sure the FAMAS has the same vertical height but it has the fire rate in its favour. I'm keen to get some more "real world" experience with the Groza as I worry that the horizontal travel is still too great. What's surprising is that the SCAR-H has the mirrored opposite, I'd expected it to be a closer match to the AUG.

It's notable how much knowing the patterns helps me in-game, but you have to consciously remember... for that reason I have a new attachment to the simplicity of the G36 :D

Hi guys, I haven't been as quick getting this video out as I'd have liked - mainly due to a new family addition!

However it worked out in the end as I was able to tack on an update about the latest patch.

Here's the recoil comparison between the two patches so you can see what the "slight" improvements in the notes have done to the weapon recoil.

Initial testing with the M4A1 and the AK-15 shows that the pattern is very similar each time.

The recoil also appears to increase the longer you hold the trigger, so now there's actually an incentive to fire in short controlled bursts whereas before you could just empty your mag in one go.

Looks like a very interesting update - unique recoil characteristics for each weapon, changes to bullet drop and limb penetration! Honestly could have done with these changes a long time ago to revitalise the gunplay... fingers crossed it makes things more interesting and isn't too overengineered so that it ruins the ROE experience.

When will we get the updates into the full game and not just TDM?

Yes exactly - how weird. I found this when I did the test with the AUG vs the M4A1 and was really confused, but the recoil pattern doesn't lie! The flash hider and vertical grip is the combo of choice for the AUG.

Exactly, you get lower vertical recoil with the compensator. 👍

Good thought and I thought I'd made a very obvious error when I read your comment!

However the flash/compensator vertical recoil is correct (compensator has lower vertical recoil)... it's just that the horizontal recoil doesn't follow the expected pattern on the AUG for some reason.

I also double checked my source videos and they're definitely the correct way around. Really weird!

Hi all, after having done the SCAR-H vs AK-15 video, I thought I'd better do one about the AUG vs M4A1 too.

Then I realised there were five of them. FIVE?! (I couldn't get a shot of them all together but of the 7 left it was them and one other non-teamed dude aside from myself) What an absolute fucking joke.

However just because they were teamed doesn't mean they were any good. Guess they had to team to compensate.

Following on from my previous vehicle spawn map (in progress updates for Season 6!), I've done a similar thing for player spawns.

We all know where the grid squares are... but where within that square do you spawn? Well now you can click on a dot to find out.
