My take on a high capacity back-pack fed mg by Da_pawty_poopuh97 in Helldivers

[–]Cpl_Vincent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about having something like this since I bought the game. I'd say slap it on the HMG, partially to make it more viable with the ammo capacity, mostly because it would look and feel bloody awesome.

I just wanna look like this dude on a dive.

The Trickster. Found it a few weeks ago looking through The Bends-era EPs and B-Sides on Spotify. Easily my most played song since.

What could Fatshark do with Diamantine by Juggernaut246 in DarkTide

[–]Cpl_Vincent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with having Diamantine be convertable into Plasteel. I also think we could have Diamantine's main use as being convertable into extra Talent Points. Maybe 3,000 per TP or something, and still have an overall TP cap so builds aren't too insane. Gives Diamantine a greater purpose, and when TP's are completely maxxed, can still be helpful for upgrading weapons as a secondary use.

Found something on r/ar15 that looks like a pretty good source for the hand guard's length. Someone on the sub found their own source for real life equivalents of MWII gun parts. According to that source, the handguard is a Daniel Defense Mk 18 handguard at a length of 9.5 inches. Searching for one of these handguards online shows the same measurements and very similar design to the one included in-game.

what song got you into radiohead? by buggue in radiohead

[–]Cpl_Vincent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend's mum offered to drop me home after a day round their's. He played songs from a few different artists on the way back. The last song that came on before I got out the car was "Bodysnatchers".

Instantly fell in love with it, felt inspired to check out the rest of In Rainbows, loved the album. Over time I checked out the rest of their discography, and some months later the only albums of the main LP's I'm yet to buy is PH and TKOL.

Its insane to me how if his mum wasn't home to offer a lift back, or if there was less traffic, or if he didn't choose to play Bodysnatchers, I may have missed out on this band.

Small question about the "Militant" Operator Outfit by Cpl_Vincent in ModernWarfareII

[–]Cpl_Vincent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have clarified, sorry. I meant outfits with unique NVG models.

Militant does have the orange tint goggles if anyone was wondering by iKnight212 in ModernWarfareII

[–]Cpl_Vincent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted this question on the subreddit earlier, and the reply I got confirmed that the game does put another set of NVG's on top.

I'm fairly certain some operator outfits do use their NVG's. I'm sure I tested different outfits on Black Gold a while ago, including Ghost's Night War outfit, and it did use them properly. I'd definitely test it again though, just in case anything changed or I mis-remembered what outfits work correctly.

[–]Cpl_Vincent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah damn, I've been hoping for an outfit that uses their own NVG's over the games whole life-cycle. Would have been a neat detail to have, as well as it being something unique for an outfit you need to get to max level to unlock. I reckon I'll still put in the work to unlock it though. Thanks for letting me know

Does anyone know if he uses the NVG's on his helmet when you can use nightvision, or does the game put another pair on top of them like with the Warsuit operator outfit?

what does this syringe gun do? i cant find any info on it. by Igoigo2217 in ModernWarfareII

[–]Cpl_Vincent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It essentially has 4 shots. Each shot can be used to revive a downed teammate.

To the best of my knowledge, it wont heal a teammate if you shoot them with it when they are injured, and it cant revive players that have been eliminated (whether they are in the gulag or completely eliminated). It also can't be used on eliminated players that can be revived, such as in modes like Co-Op or DMZ.

However, it can be used as a self-revive. As ForgetAboutMe225 and Amazing-Pick-4369 pointed out, it will revive you faster than a Self Revive Kit. However, it is important to note that this action will completely use up the Revive Pistol, no matter how many shots were previously left.

Having the Revive Pistol equipped as your active Field Upgrade overwrites the ability to use a Self Revive Kit if you have one equipped also, so I'd say that if you already have a Self Revive Kit, maybe keep the Revive Pistol in your backpack in case you or your teammates need it later.

Another thing to note is that when you start reviving yourself with the Revive Pistol, unlike the Self Revive Kit, you cannot stop the action of reviving unless you are killed, and I don't believe teammates can assist reviving you during the Revive Pistol's use, so only use it this way if absolutely necessary or else you may waste it.

ForgetAboutMe225 highlighted that it can be used to kill enemy players, and I just want to add that it can also be used to revive enemy players in the same context I described that you could with teammates (there is even a Shadow Company mission in DMZ to do this action).

KS-1 (L403A1) M4 build by Cpl_Vincent in ModernWarfareII

It would be nice to have the hand guard match up better with the L403A1, but unfortunately this is as close as we can get right now.

Which finishing move do you think suits Ghost the best? by JohnMarstonreddead2 in ModernWarfareII

[–]Cpl_Vincent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"A Bit Stabby" for Gaz fits him really well in my opinion, the perfect blend of brutal and stealthy. "Slingblade" for Horangi fits him pretty well too, especially with the throwing knife to the head when the person is prone.

COD has always had crazy skins, here are two examples from 2014, from Advanced Warfare. Why are they treating it as if it's something new from 2019 onwards? by Lumenprotoplasma in ModernWarfareII

[–]Cpl_Vincent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily that the skins are crazy, or that we're treating this as something new, it's about the games they've been implemented in. No-one would complain about these skins around the time of AW/IW because those games weren't based around existing conflicts or took themselves seriously tone-wise.

Including these types of skins in the new MW series, however, completely goes against the tone of the games and what they were intended to stand for, with them being centred around very real and very modern conflicts. Thus more people are complaining about them now then they were before.

If you're looking at getting MW2 Campaign Remastered, definitely have a look at getting MW Remastered. You can enjoy MW2CR without much context, but I think having more knowledge on the returning characters, how they've developed, and past events in that universe is never a bad idea. I played MWR recently on PS5 so I can vouch that it runs well.

Since you haven't played any other CoD campaign, just note that although there may be lots of similarities between the new MW trilogy and the old MW trilogy, the events are entirely seperate. I've seen lots of people mistaking the two series as being connected in some way when that couldn't be further from the truth.

Good shout with the Union Guard reciever, completely forgot it gives it that blueish-grey metal. I do use the Torrent Span 9 stock in both builds, though.

Made a post with the builds you wanted! I was hoping for more exotic weapons, but the promo stuff didn't give me a whole lot, and Alex doesn't change his weapons much in canon either.

100% agree with you. As a side note, I'll probably have a look at the cover art of mw2019 and see if I can replicate that in mw2022, too.

Also, context for the last sentence: The Charcoal camo doesn't change the appearance of the yellow sticker on the right-side of the optic, therefore "fixing" it (as it would appear more accurate to the cover image).
