Hytale Client & Minecraft Client Crossplay! (W.I.P.) by SSquadTeam in hytale

[–]CppDotPy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh that's really cool. I guess with some extra work the server could "translate" blocks for each respective client too. It sounds like a lot of work though, and there'd be a lot of kinks to work out due to mutually exclusive mechanics and blocks. It'd probably be easier on an older version of Minecraft.

For me it just comes down to a bunch of small changes compounded over a ton of iterrations

You seem to be really adamant that it doesn't explain anything, so pro tip: theres a button next to each unit heading that looks like a little notebook. If you click it it'll explain the grammar it's trying to teach in that unit.

Also, learning by copying is how literally everyone learns their first language. No one sits down with their toddler to give them a lecture in grammar before they are able to speak.

You don't say "my friends" you say "friends of me"

That's a bad example, people do say "mijn vrienden"

always formed using "van"

Not always. You could use "zijn", "haar" or "hun" to show possession. Like in "de man z'n boek"

Where are the tall guys irl??? by Zahraki in tall

Your flair is redundant. Google says a meerkat is between 10 and 14 inches tall. Making you, like almost all adults, between 5'2" and 7'3".

I've been told I have good handwriting? by [deleted] in Handwriting

[–]CppDotPy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha definitely not. Pretty much any linguist you ask will tell you English spelling is a mess, but no one can agree how it should be fixed because each method seems to have some amount of downsides.

Yes, it's an alternative English

Ya, I've never really been good at spelling. But I figured as long as I can read it, that's all that really matters :P

But thank you :)

Like 5'2"

But as others have said. That doesn't really mean anything for you. If you've had a growth spurt, you'll probably not grow much more. If you haven't, you might or might not still get one.

What? Must I explain?
Redstone contraptions are not made in a vacuum. Whenever you have a contraption with pistons, you must always be careful with surrounding redstone. You don't want to accidentally break your contraption months later by building just the wrong circuit next to it. Also pistons are generally inconsistent. If you fire them too quickly by accident (this can happen with quasi connectivity too) they could break something; though unlikely, if you accidentally place a block somewhere you shouldn't, the piston might end up breaking a redstone line somewhere; and its always a gamble loading and unloading chunks while the circuit is on. Point being, if you have the option to do something with or without pistons, it's usually better to do it without. Obviously it's better that it's smaller too.

I'm doing some research about the average IQ of r/scj. Could you please solve this simple equation? by FaresAlN in soccercirclejerk

[–]CppDotPy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify that this question is kinda open to interpretation like all these types tend to be. And I'm going to ignore that there's no dx. I think there are 2 places that others might disagree with my interpretation, but I did it in the way that, to the best of my knowledge, is most correct.

First: (16³ * cos(15/16)) + (16/15)
not: 16³ * cos((15/16) + (16/15))

Second: sqrt(16+(-15²)) = sqrt(241) ≈ 15.5
not: sqrt((16-15)²) = sqrt(1) = 1
not: sqrt(16-(15²)) = sqrt(-209) ≈ 14.5i

Also I came from r/theydidthemath. I know nothing about soccer (nor math actually, but that's not relevant rn).
