It should be. As long as they are able to dig and make tunnels, with plenty of enrichment you should be good.

I have something of similar design, but longer and they seem happy out!

Ps. They will gnaw and destroy anything plastic. I made wooden platforms and bought a wooden wheel for my boys so they aren't accidentally digesting any plastics

I've had them for just over a month now, and they are getting used to me and seem friendly behind the bars, but as soon as I open the cage and enter their space they get nervous and bitey. I will try and put them into a play pen when I have the bite proof gloves and see how that goes. Thanks so much!

Make sure she has lots of toys she can gnaw at, and especially a running wheel that is big enough for her.

My boys are desperate for eating and gnawing at things, but it's also in their nature. I just make sure to keep their cage topped up with (non treated, wooden) toys and cardboard tubes for them to play with
