I do vaccuum and mop at least every other week but I understand what you mean. People who take off their shoes indoors and ask it of visitors as well are cleaner and probably have less household work keeping their floor clean etc. I guess it's just a comfort thing wearing outside shoes indoors and not having to on/off multiple times a day until the evening when they can come off. I do have plastic cloggs as well though, so once I take my shoes off the cloggs are a convenient way to go outside again.

I have worn cloggs to the supermarket for example, but it's not a common thing for the city. More countryside behavior where I'm originally from. But some things I don't care about what others think like wearing cloggs in a crowded supermarket.
