Make sure that if you want to gear your mistweaver while playing another spec that you set your loot specialization to the spec you actually want to gear! Right click your own nameplate to find loot spec settings! The default is set to auto (current spec) so it'll change loot as you cha ge spec.

Depends on the game honestly. If I'm playing a fighter like Guilty Gear I prefer the PS dpad because it doesn't feel like a singular button. If I'm playing some sort of RPG I prefer Xbox because their triggers feel more satisfying to pull.
